BMW India has finally taken the wraps off of the combustion engine version of the 8th-generation 5 Series. This German saloon is scheduled to launch on July 24, 2024.
The BMW R 1300 GS has arrived in India via the CBU (completely built unit), carrying a price tag of Rs 20.95 lakh (ex-showroom). It is the replacement of the R 1250 GS.
The fourth-generation BMW X3 will get a new set of LED headlights, alongside L-shaped LED DRLs. The design language remains sleek and sharp while maintaining a bold appearance.
BMW Motorrad is prepping to launch the successor of the R 1250 GS anytime soon in India, called the R 1300 GS. The launch date is yet to be declared by BMW India.
A 2.0-litre petrol burner powers the BMW 2 Series M Sport Shadow Edition and churns out 179hp and 280Nm. All the power is distributed on the front wheels via a seven-speed DCT.
It churns out 170hp and 114 Nm. Performance figures also look very promising with a claimed 0 to 100kph timing of 3.25 seconds and a top speed of 253kph.
It is worth mentioning that BMW will offer the new M5 in the touring/estate body shape (called M5 Touring), alongside the sedan iteration. The launch is expected in early 2025.
