As you might be aware, the Indian automobile manufacturer Mahindra is also gradually making a foray into the all-electric competition. The only electric vehicle the indigenous company currently has is the XUV 400 - an all-electric version of the XUV300 pre-facelift but with a different nameplate.

But Mahindra has opened a dedicated brand for its EVs, which goes by the ‘BE’ name. Under the Mahindra BE brand, the Indian automaker will launch the BE.05, XUV.e8, and XUV.e9 in the coming months.

Keeping that aside, a video has been circulating on the internet that reveals the interior of the Mahindra BE.05 electric SUV. So, allow us to give you further details.

Highlights

The Mahindra BE.05 electric SUV has been spied testing once again. We are already familiar with the exterior of this iteration and unfamiliar with its interior. But, now we have finally got a glimpse at its interior.

From what we can see, Mahindra’s design department seems to have done a great job, as far as the cabin’s layout is concerned. It surely looks as futuristic as this vehicle’s exterior does.

That said, the BE.05 SUV has a two-spoke leather-wrapped multi-function steering wheel with a ‘BE’ illuminated logo. The steering-mounted controls allow the driver to control the digital cluster as well as the infotainment unit.

The illuminated logo on the centre of the steering wheel is similar to those of Tata cars.

In addition to that, this iteration houses a dual-screen setup, each dedicated to the digital instrument cluster and a floating touchscreen infotainment unit.

The UI (user interface) integrated into the displays is also new and carries the EV-focused theme and layout. The same UI is likely to be seen on the upcoming Mahindra electric cars.

Other expected on-board features include a sunroof, ambient lighting, connected car technology, auto HVAC, type-C USB ports, a wireless charging tray, leatherette upholstery, power windows, ventilated front seats, and electrically adjustable driver’s seat. It may also offer a powered tailgate, auto-dimming IRVMs, drive modes, and SOS/RSA buttons, to name a few.

The exterior will have all LED lighting at the front and rear, plus it will boast disc brakes, EV-specific aerodynamic alloy wheels, body cladding, electric ORVMs, rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlights, etc.

Mahindra BE05 EV Front

On the safety front, the BE.05 will have multiple airbags, brake assist, hill-descent control, hill assist, ADAS Level-2, high beam assist, a 360-degree camera view, parking sensors (front and rear), lane departure warning, traction control, etc.

Launch and Rivals

The Mahindra BE.05 is expected to launch in India in the second half of 2025. Upon its launch in India, this homegrown electric coupe SUV will take the likes of the Tata Curvv EV, BYD Atto 3, MG ZS, Hyundai Creta EV, and Maruti eVX, among others.
