Maruti Suzuki’s highly anticipated electric SUV’s Global debut is now confirmed. The brand has indicated that it will unveil the production-ready version of the car at the upcoming Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. This will be the brand’s first-ever fully electric car and will prioritise sales in the global markets, starting from Europe.

Maruti Suzuki eVX Launch: All We Know So Far

The Maruti Suzuki eVX concept made its first public appearance at the Auto Expo 2023 and later the car was showcased at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2024. Now the officials of the company have made it clear that the production-ready variant of the eVX will be unveiled to the world at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025.

Autocar India reported that a senior executive of Maruti Suzuki has said, “We will officially announce the BEV [born electric vehicle] at Auto Expo India in January next year, and we hope to launch it in early 2025. We will give priority to Europe first.”

The Maruti Suzuki eVX’s production will begin early next year and most of its units will be reserved for exports. The eVX is being developed in partnership with Toyota so another badge-engineered Toyota version of this car is also expected to go on sale after a few months of the eVX’s launch.

The brand will be manufacturing the eVX primarily in India and then it will export it to the global market. Other than the global competitive markets, when Maruti launches this car in the Indian market, it will lock horns with the Tata Curvv, the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV and the Mahindra BE series of EVs, among others.
