We Got The Hero Xpulse 200 4V Pro Dakar Edition Before New Year 2025

Hero has done it again! They have launched the Dakar version of the Xpulse 200 4V Pro that promises more ruthless off-roading.

The original Xpulse was launched by Hero in 2019 and soon after, the company launched the Pro version. Now, the brand has unveiled its most expensive version, which is the Hero Xpulse 200 4V Dakar Edition.

The Xpulse 200 is the only off-roading machine in Hero’s portfolio and the X Pro version offers more ground clearance. The Dakar version doesn’t have any major upgrades over the Pro Rally variant but is crafted with a new paint scheme to represent the Dakar Rally.

Hero Xpluse 200 4V Pro Dakar: What’s the Upgrade?

The Hero Xpulse 200 4V Pro Dakar Edition is completely based on the Xpulse 200 4V Rally Pro. On the fuel tank, it flaunts the logo of the iconic Dakar rally. The adventure motorcycle comes with a black and red paint job while the exhaust remains unchanged. Everything else retains the original form factor of the Xpulse 200 Rally Pro.

Hero Xpulse 200 4V Pro Dakar specifications

The Hero Xpulse 200 4V Pro is known as one of the best adventure motorcycles in terms of ground clearance under INR 2 lakhs. The motorcycle is powered by a single-cylinder 199.6cc air-cooled engine mated with a six-speed gearbox that generates 19.1 PS of peak power at 8,500 RPM and 17.35 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 RPM.

The motorcycle is equipped with fully adjustable telescopic front forks with 250mm of wheel travel and preload-adjustable rear suspension. The 200 4V Pro Dakar comes with a high ground clearance of 270mm, which is much higher than the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450's 230mm ground clearance. The motorcycle weighs 161 kg and features a seat height of 891mm.

As far as the instrumentation is concerned, the Xpulse 300 4V Pro Dakar comes with an LCD instrument cluster loaded with all the basic information. Riders will get three ABS modes: Road, Off-road and Rally. The motorcycle is equipped with round-shaped LED headlights, a tall windscreen and pre-installed knuckle guards. This Xpulse is packed with modern features like a USB charging port and a luggage plate.

Price and competition

The ex-showroom price of the Xpulse 200 4V Pro Dakar Edition is INR 1,67,000. In the 200cc category, is the only adventure-ready rally machine, with the Honda CB200X coming close for its off-roading capabilities.
