Japanese two-wheeler major Yamaha has launched an updated street rally version of their trendy RayZR scooter. The scooter has an upgraded features list and the design has also been revised to make it more attractive.

At an ex-showroom price of Rs 98,130, the scooter is now Rs 2,000 pricier than its predecessor.

Design and Features of the Yamaha RayZR Street Rally 125 Fi Hybrid

The biggest noticeable upgrade has come as LED DRLs of the scooter which have been uniquely positioned on the upper side of the front apron, above the number plate mounting area.

The scooter looks as striking as ever in its brand-new Cyber Green livery. Going by the looks, it is safe to assume that the brand has designed the scooter with the youth as targetted customers. The scooter also gets smartphone connectivity through the Y-Connect application.

The Yamaha RayZR Street Rally 125 Fi scooter also has an “Answer Back” feature in the Y-Connect application which can be used to easily locate the scooter by flashing the hazard lights and a loud honk sound.

Performance of the Yamaha RayZR Street Rally 125 Fi Hybrid

Apart from the cosmetic changes and feature upgrades, the scooter’s mechanicals remain the same. It gets the good old air-cooled 125-cc petrol burner, which belts out 8.2hp at 6500rpm and 10.3Nm of torque at 5000rpm.

The scooter also gets a hybrid power assist system that includes a Smart Motor Generator (SMG) and an Automatic Stop & Start system. Because of this assistance, the scooter is claimed to have better efficiency, silent start and a slight power assist.

Suspension, Braking and Rivals of Yamaha RayZR Street Rally 125 Fi Hybrid

Handling the suspension duties are telescopic forks at the front and a mono-shock at the rear. The braking duties are handled by a 220mm disc brake and a rear drum brake. The scooter is also equipped with UBS (Unified Braking System) to ensure safe stopping.

At its current price point, the Yamaha RayZR locks horns with the likes of TVS Ntorq 125, Honda Dio 125, Suzuki Avenis 125, etc.
