Triumph, a British motorcycle manufacturer, is known for its off-roading and adventure touring bikes. The bike has two variants: GT and Rally Pro. The former variant is best for long highway rides, while the latter excels at off-roading. Both variants have the same ex-showroom price of Rs 13.95 lakh.

But first, let's delve into the on-paper figures of this British bike.

Power Figures: The most noticeable thing about this bike is its aggressive look, huge 20-litre fuel tank, and attractive graphics. Powering this bike is an 888cc engine, which produces 106.5bhp at 9,500rpm and 90Nm of torque at 6,850rpm, coupled with a six-speed manual gearbox. The new Tiger 900 has decent fuel economy with an ARAI-claimed mileage of 19.23 km/l.

The Tiger 900 Rally Pro has a tyre profile of 100/90 R19 and 150/70 R17 at the front and rear, respectively. A big front wheel is always best for uneven roads. Triumph has provided show suspension with this bike; the front suspension is 45mm upside down and the rear suspension has 230mm wheel travel.

The bike is definitely heavy and bulky; the kerb weight is 220 kg, and the seat height is adjustable from 860mm to 880mm.

Opinion cum Closing Words

As for the opinion, we tested a low-seat Triumph 900 which can make our experience slightly different. But one thing that is for sure is that the machine is tough to handle for average-height riders.

Let’s start with ignition. When you turn on the bike, its TFT will attract you. It will show you all the important information like gear indicator, fuel, engine temperature, etc. You can control many things with this one.

We tested bikes on uneven terrain and it performed quite well. Irrespective of its heavy 228kg weight, the bike never stuck in mud or sand due to its insane power.

You can easily speed up the bike on highways, plus the throttle is responsive. The engine's capacity gives you enough power to boost your confidence. But, at the same time, the fuel capacity becomes a nightmare at high revs.

The height of the handlebar is in perfect position, so you mostly sit with a straight body posture.

You get enough space on the handlebar to add accessories or a camera. The bike gives you full confidence, even in odd situations.

In terms of maintainance, this bike requires servicing after 10,000km or 12 months. The Triumph Tiger 900 has an ex-showroom price of Rs 13,95,000, which might differ from state to state. This price is subject to change without any prior notice.
