TVS Motor has officially entered the adventure motorcycle space in India with the launch of its brand-new Apache RTX 300. This marks a big milestone for the company, as it adds a true-blue adventure tourer to its already diverse two-wheeler portfolio. The name itself says a lot — RTX stands for Rally, Tourer, and Xtreme — hinting at the bike’s versatility both on highways and off the beaten path.
Pricing, Variants, and Availability
The Apache RTX 300 comes with a starting price of ₹1.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Buyers can pick from three variants:
-
Base Variant – ₹1.99 lakh
-
Top Variant – ₹2.14 lakh

BTO (Built-to-Order) Variant – ₹2.29 lakh (loaded with all features)
TVS is also offering five colour options: Viper Green, Tarn Bronze, Metallic Blue, Lightning Black, and Pearl White. Bookings are already open, and deliveries will begin soon.
Design and Hardware
The RTX 300 carries the bold stance of a premium adventure bike. Up front, a semi-fairing design houses a dual LED headlamp setup with a tall windscreen to cut through windblast. The ergonomics are tuned for comfort, with a neutral riding position and well-placed handlebars and footpegs — ideal for long-distance touring.
Key hardware highlights include:
-
41mm gold-finished USD front forks (fully adjustable)
-
Rear mono-shock
-
320 mm front petal disc + rear disc with switchable dual-channel ABS
-
19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels with special compound tyres
-
Steel frame with die-cast aluminium swingarm
Other design touches like the upswept exhaust, split seat, and rear luggage rack add to its adventure-ready personality.
Technology and Features
The Apache RTX 300 doesn’t just look the part — it’s loaded with tech. The bike comes with the RT-LSC electronics suite, offering four riding modes: Tour, Rally, Urban, and Rain. You also get Rally ABS, Traction Control, and Cruise Control for a safe and versatile riding experience.
At the heart of the cockpit sits a TFT instrument cluster with SmartXonnect Bluetooth integration. This setup offers 38+ connected features, including:
-
Google Maps mirroring for navigation
-
Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
-
Digital document storage
-
GoPro control
All of this is managed through a sophisticated switchgear on the handlebar, keeping everything at the rider’s fingertips.
Engine and Performance
Powering the adventure tourer is TVS’s new RT-XD4 engine. The 299.1cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC, 4-valve motor delivers:
-
35 bhp at 9,000 RPM
-
28.5 Nm torque at 7,000 RPM
It’s paired with a 6-speed gearbox, featuring a slipper clutch and quick-shifter, ensuring smooth and spirited performance whether you’re touring highways or tackling rough terrain.
