Motorola has officially unveiled its 2025 lineup of foldable phones, introducing significant upgrades across both the premium and budget-friendly models. The new generation brings dust resistance for the first time, thanks to an IP48 rating, enhancing the durability of both devices.

Motorola Razr 60 Ultra

The flagship model, now branded “Motorola Razr Ultra” in the US, features several major upgrades. The device is slightly bulkier and heavier than last year’s model but gains a larger 4,700mAh battery, up from 4,000mAh. It also supports faster charging — 68W wired and 30W wireless.

The 4-inch cover screen remains, but with better specs. It’s now a P-OLED LTPO display protected by Gorilla Glass Ceramic, featuring 165Hz refresh rate, 10-bit color, and 3,000 nits peak brightness. The 7-inch main display also sees improvements: a higher 1224p+ resolution, 165Hz LTPO panel, and 4,000 nits brightness.

Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 “Elite” chipset, the phone comes with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB storage. A 1TB version will be exclusive to Motorola’s website. It ships with Android 15 out of the box.

On the back, Motorola has brought back the ultra-wide lens, pairing a 50MP main camera with a 50MP ultra-wide sensor. The setup supports 8K video at 30fps and 4K at 60fps. There’s also a 50MP selfie camera inside. The phone supports Dolby Vision (recording and playback), Dolby Atmos audio, and Android’s digital car key feature via NFC and UWB.

The Razr 60 Ultra will be available in four Pantone colors: Rio Red, Scarab, Mountain Trail, and Cabaret.

The standard Razr 60, also called “Motorola Razr 2025,” retains its position as an affordable flip phone. It shares the same IP48 rating but comes with more modest upgrades. It has a 3.6-inch cover display and a 6.9-inch main P-OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate.

It runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7400X chip with up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage, and a larger 4,500mAh battery with 30W wired and 15W wireless charging. Camera specs include a 50MP main camera, a 13MP ultra-wide, and a 32MP selfie camera.

Availability

In the US, both models go on pre-order from May 7, with sales starting May 15. Prices start at $1,300 for the Ultra and $700 for the regular Razr.
