Motorola Edge 60 Key Specifications Leaked Before April 24 Launch

Motorola is set to launch a number of new smartphones at its launch event on April 24, including the Motorola Edge 60, Edge 60 Pro, and the new Razr 60 series. Before the official launch, key specifications and marketing materials for the Motorola Edge 60 have leaked online, showing a major improvement over its predecessor.

Motorola Edge 60 Specifications

As per leaks posted by tipster Evan Blass, the Motorola Edge 60 will come with a 6.7-inch curved pOLED screen with a 1.5K (2,712x1,220 pixels) resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, providing a seamless viewing experience. The phone is also expected to ship with Android 15 out of the box, which makes it one of the first smartphones to be launched with the newest version of Google's operating system.

The device will be powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 7300 chip, unveiled in May 2024. The chipset will likely come with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage, although regional models might come with various configurations.

Camera capabilities are also set to improve, with the Motorola Edge 60 reportedly sporting a 50-megapixel rear camera using Sony’s Lytia 700C sensor. While details on additional rear sensors remain unclear, the front of the device is said to house a 50-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.

Battery life might be another major area of strength for the Edge 60. The phone should have a 5,200mAh battery and fast charging support at 68W. Promotional images that have leaked online indicate that a 68W charger, USB cable, and a case will be included with the retail package.

From a design perspective, the Motorola Edge 60 is likely to share many similarities with its predecessor, the Edge 50, in terms of features like camera locations and a slender, curved shape. The device could also ship with MIL-STD-810H certification, which means additional ruggedness for drops, extreme temperatures, and other environmental impacts.

Motorola Edge 60 Launch Date In India

Motorola will formally unveil the Edge 60 along with the Edge 60 Pro and Razr 60 foldables on April 24. With these latest leaks, the Edge 60 is looking like a strong player in the upper mid-range market. Further details, such as pricing and availability, will be revealed at the launch event.
