Nothing Phone 3 is likely to be launched within the next few months, according to Carl Pei, founder and CEO of the UK technology firm Nothing. The phone will be the follow-up to the Nothing Phone 2, which was released in July 2023. Although the company did launch mid-range variants — the Phone 2a and Phone 2a Plus — prior to this, this new flagship represents Nothing's return to high-end smartphone offerings.

Launch Timeline Confirmed
The official release window for the Nothing Phone 3 is Q3 2025, putting its anticipated arrival sometime between July and September. Carl Pei posted the news during a short "ask me anything" (AMA) session on X (formerly Twitter), as an answer to a user's question. This release schedule aligns with past releases — the Nothing Phone 1 came out on July 21, 2022, and the Phone 2 landed on July 11, 2023.

Rumors of a launch in 2024 were doing the rounds last year, but the Phone 3 was put on hold as Nothing redirected its attention towards bringing artificial intelligence onboard. Pei said that the company has been developing its software experience to become more personalized with the help of AI, which means the next phone might be accompanied by some kind of AI-driven functionality or features.

What to Expect From the Nothing Phone 3

Even though the company hasn't announced the Phone 3's specifications officially, it will likely continue the brand's trademark design language. This consists of a transparent back panel and the groundbreaking Glyph lighting interface, which was one of the standout features in the past models.

If the Phone 3 takes up where the Phone 2 left off, then it could well have a mighty Qualcomm chipset under the hood — perhaps a latest-generation Snapdragon 8 series chip — and would potentially provide a maximum of 12GB of RAM and 512GB storage. Its precursor had a 6.7-inch LTPO AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, and it would be no surprise if the Phone 3 persisted in providing an identical, or even better, visual experience.

Nothing Phone 2 also featured a dual 50MP back camera setup and a 32MP selfie camera, together with a 4,700mAh battery that supported 47W wired and 15W wireless charging. We should anticipate improvements in camera performance, battery life, and even more rapid charging for the Phone 3.

Further details are likely to come out in the run-up to the official launch over the coming weeks.
