Nubia Z70S Ultra Photographer Edition to Launch on April 28: Design and Expected Features Revealed

Nubia is ready to introduce the Z70S Ultra Photographer Edition in China on April 28. The Chinese phone manufacturer announced the launch through a Weibo post, in which it also revealed a glimpse of the device's design. The special edition phone is an upgrade of the original Nubia Z70S Ultra, launched in November 2024, and will likely have similar core specifications while presenting a new look for photography lovers.

The Photographer Edition has a unique design that features a vegan leather rear panel, which is offered in black and light brown colour options. The leather texture, paired with a camera-inspired design, provides the phone with a vintage look that is similar to professional camera gear. As can be observed from official images, the phone has a triple rear camera setup. Nubia has come out with the fact that the primary camera has a 35mm lens, which in most professional cameras is utilized because it provides an almost natural viewpoint. There's also a telephoto lens present, similar to the regular Z70S Ultra.

As for the total specs of the Photographer Edition, which have yet to be outed, these will likely not be different significantly from the Z70S Ultra. The previously launched model comes with a 6.85-inch OLED screen that has a 144Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of up to 2,000 nits, offering a rich and smooth visual experience. It is fueled by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, coupled with up to 24GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 Pro internal storage, making it a performance-oriented device.

Camera performance is one of the strengths of the Z70S Ultra line. The standard model comes with a 50MP primary camera that has a variable aperture (f/1.59 to f/4.0), a 50MP ultrawide lens, and a 64MP periscope telephoto lens. It also comes with an under-display front camera for an uninterrupted screen experience.

The phone has a big 6,150mAh battery, which has support for 80W fast charging. The connectivity features include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 7, NFC, Bluetooth 5.4, and a USB Type-C port. The phone comes with Android 15 and Nubia's own Nebula AIOS interface laid on top.

As the release date nears, Nubia is likely to share more details about the Z70S Ultra Photographer Edition, such as its price and release date.
