On the sidelines of exciting announcements in the world of smartphones and mobile gadgets, the Mobile World Congress 2025 in Barcelona also had something for tech enthusiasts and stakeholders from India. India’s Telecom Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia took the opportunity to announce all details about the next edition of the India Mobile Congress 2025 – an event set to take place in New Delhi later this year.
The India Mobile Congress, or IMC, has been around for a few years now, showcasing India’s improvements and exhibitions in the field of technology – a booming sector in the country over the last few years. The event will be held in New Delhi in early October 2025 and is expected to witness a host of exhibitors showcasing their plans for the country in the future.

India Mobile Congress 2025 date and place details
The India Mobile Congress 2025 has reached its ninth anniversary and will be held in the capital city of New Delhi from October 8 to October 11. The venue and time details are yet to be announced but you can expect the authorities to reveal everything once the event date starts edging nearer. The event is expected to witness over 1 lakh attendees.

IMC 2025: What to expect
With over 1 lakh attendees emerging from over 120 countries and over 1000 exhibitors, the IMC 2025 is expected to be an even bigger showcase of India’s rapid embrace of next-gen technologies and establishing it as the technology hub of the future on the global scene.
The event will be organised by the Department of Telecommunications (DOT) and the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI). Scindia hinted that IMC 2025 bring together industry leaders, policymakers and technology enthusiasts to encourage superior connectivity and foster a sense of innovation as well as sustainability.

Some of the key highlights for this year’s edition include:
- developments on 5G infrastructure and encouraging advancements towards the next generation 6G networks.
- Encouraging growth in the local semiconductor production and development business.
- Showcasing potential for Quantum Computing applications domestically.
- Discussions on matters of cybersecurity, satellite communications, deep tech, Industry 4.0 and Enterprise transformation.
- Focus will be also put on smart mobility.
- ASPIRE, the new startup program of IMC, is also expected to witness participation from over a thousand startups, more than 300 investors, incubators and more. Budding entrepreneurs will get to partake in mentorship workshops, live pitches and networking with potential clients and fostering new partnerships.

“India Mobile Congress has played a pivotal role in this journey, serving as a catalyst progress in telecom and technology sectors. As Asia’s largest technology forum, IMC will further strengthen India’s position as a global leader in digital transformation, fostering new opportunities to collaborate with global ecosystem,” he added.
