The month of November was interesting for smartphone lovers as we got to see the launch of a new generation of flagship devices. Realme launched India’s first Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered GT 7 Pro whereas its parent company Oppo, launched India’s first MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset, the Find X8 Series.
Both devices offer top-notch specifications, exceptional design and a lot of powerful features. Continuing the tradition, iQOO and Vivo are launching their flagship devices in December in India.
Don’t worry, we have something for mid-rangers as well. Xiaomi is bringing the next iteration of the Redmi Note series in December in India. The Redmi Note 14 series will consist of three devices - Note 14, Note 14 Pro and Note 14 Pro Plus.
Here’s the full list of smartphones that are either confirmed or expected to launch in December 2024 in India.
1) iQOO 13 5G
Launch Date: December 3
Expected Price Range: Around INR 54,999
After the Realme GT 7 Pro, iQOO 13 will be the next smartphone in India to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. It could be the cheapest Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered smartphone in India. It is launching in India on December 3.
The device features the same design as its predecessor but with the addition of Halo LED lights that glow around its camera module.
It flaunts a 6.82-inch BOE AMOLED display with 2K resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate and 4500 nits of peak brightness. It will run FuntouchOS 15 out of the box and will receive four years of Android and five years of security updates.
For optics, the iQOO 13 features a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel Sony IMX921 main sensor, a 50-megapixel Samsung J1 ultrawide sensor and a 50-megapixel Sony IMX816 telephoto sensor. On the front, it has a 32-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calls. The iQOO 13 has a 6,150mAh battery with 120W fast charging support.
The iQOO 13 price in China is the same as its predecessor. Hence, we speculate that its price won’t change in India as well. The iQOO 12 was launched at a price of INR 52,999 in India.
2) Vivo X200 series
Launch Date: Expected in mid-December
Expected Price Range: Around INR 65,999
Vivo is refreshing its X-series in December in India. The brand has confirmed that it will be launching the X200 series in the country this month which consists of two devices - X200 and X200 Pro. Sadly, the X200 Pro Mini will remain China-exclusive.
The Vivo X200 series will be the first smartphone in India to have a 200-megapixel telephoto lens and a semi-solid-state battery.
The Vivo X200 Pro will be available in two variants in India – Titanium Grey and Cosmos Black – whereas the vanilla X200 will be available in Copper Green and Carbon Black colour options.
The Vivo X200 Pro features a 200-megapixel ISOCELL HP9 periscope telephoto camera, a first on any smartphone. It also has a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-818 main sensor and a 50-megapixel ISOCELL JN1 ultrawide sensor on the back. All these lenses are co-engineered with ZEISS technology to give users more edge on filters and portrait shots. The Vivo X200 series also supports Live Photo and 4K HDR Cinematic Portrait video shooting.
The Vivo X200 Series is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset that is paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB UFS 4.0 storage. It has a 6.78-inch micro-curved OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 4,500 nits of peak brightness.
It features a 5,800mAh battery with 90W fast charging support. The Vivo X200 Series will run FuntouchOS 15 in India.
The Vivo X200 Series starts at CNY 4,300 (roughly INR 51,000) in China. Since the Vivo X100 was launched in India at INR 63,999, we speculate the X200 Series in India to start around INR 65,999.

3) Redmi Note 14 series
Launch Date: December 9, 2024
Expected Price Range: INR 21,999
The Redmi Note lineup is one of the best and hottest-selling lineups from Xiaomi. The brand is set to launch its Redmi Note 14 series on December 9 in India. It will launch three devices under the lineup – Note 14, Note 14 Pro and Note 14 Pro Plus.
The Redmi Note 14 series brings a refreshed design with a squarish camera island in the centre. The Note 14 Pro Plus will be available in three colours in India – Green, Black and Purple. The last colour variant offers the device in a vegan leather option.
All three devices sport a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, SGS Eye Protection, TUV Rheinland Certification and 2160Hz PW Dimming. The only difference among the three is that the vanilla Note 14 supports full HD+ resolution whereas the other two devices support a 1.5K resolution.
The Redmi Note 14 is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7025 Ultra chipset. The Redmi Note 14 Pro is powered by a Dimensity 7300 Ultra chipset and the Note 14 Pro Plus is powered by a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset. All three devices run an Android 14-based HyperOS custom skin out of the box.
The Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus model includes a triple rear camera setup, featuring a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 50-megapixel telephoto lens with 2.5x optical zoom and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. The Note 14 Pro, on the other hand, has a similar configuration but replaces the telephoto lens with a 2-megapixel sensor. Both models sport a 20-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies.
The Redmi Note 14 and Note 14 Pro pack a 5,110mAh and 5,500mAh battery respectively. Both phones support 45W fast charging. The Note 14 Pro Plus, on the other hand, packs a 6,200mAh battery with 90W wired fast charging.
All devices will have an IP68 rating certification in India for water and dust resistance.
