Qualcomm and MediaTek’s latest flagship chipsets, Snapdragon 8 Elite and Dimensity 9400 respectively, are giving a tough fight to Apple's almighty A18 Pro, according to claimed numbers by the respective manufacturers. The iPhone 16 Pro Series uses the latter, whereas Android smartphone brands are taking power from the best of Qualcomm and MediaTek.
According to a list from AnTuTu, which reveals the top 10 powerful smartphones of October 2024, the OnePlus 13, powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite, topped the chart with 2.92 million scores, whereas the Dimensity 9400-powered Vivo X200 Pro ranked third with a score of 2.84 million. The iPhone 16 Pro Max, powered by the A18 Pro chipset, scored 1.69 million.

These flagship smartphones are coming to India in November, starting with the Realme GT 7 Pro. Here’s the full list of smartphones that are either confirmed or expected to launch in November 2024 and will compete with the iPhone 16 Pro Series in India.
1) Realme GT 7 Pro

The Realme GT 7 Pro will be the first smartphone in India to debut the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. It is launching on November 26 at 12 PM in the country. The GT 7 Pro flaunts a 6.78-inch micro quad-curved OLED display with a variable 1 to 120Hz LTPO refresh rate and up to 6000 nits of peak brightness. It packs up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB UFS 4.0 storage.
The GT 7 Pro consists of a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP Sony IMX906 main sensor, an 8MP Sony IMX355 ultrawide and a 50MP Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto sensor. On the front, it features a 16MP sensor for selfies and video calls. It runs Realme UI 6 based on Android 15 out of the box and will feature several generative AI features. The phone is powered by a 6,500mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging.
The Realme GT 7 Pro has launched at a starting price of CNY 3,599 (around INR 42,655). We speculate the GT 7 Pro to launch in India within the price range of INR 50,000 to INR 60,000.
2) OPPO Find X8

Brace yourself! The OPPO Find X Series is returning to India with the Find X8. OPPO, via its official website, confirmed that the Find X8 is launching in India; however, the launch of the Find X8 Pro remains a mystery.
The Find X8 will be the first smartphone in India to feature the new MediaTek Dimensity 9400 flagship chipset. The SoC is paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB UFS 4.0 storage. The main highlight of the Find X8 is its versatile camera system that consists of a 50MP Sony LYT700 sensor, a 50MP Samsung JN5 ultrawide and a 50MP Sony LYT600 periscope sensor on the back. It can shoot 4K 60FPS Dolby Vision videos using the main sensor.
The list doesn’t end here; the Find X8 comes with an underwater photography mode, allowing you to dive into a swimming pool with your smartphone and take a picture. You can also shoot 4K 60fps videos using its 32MP Sony IMX615 front sensor.
It flaunts a 6.59-inch OLED flat display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1.5K resolution and 4500 nits of peak brightness. It runs Android 15-based ColorOS 15 out of the box and packs several AI features. All this is powered by a 5,700mAh battery that supports 80W wired and 50W wireless fast charging.
The OPPO Find X8 starts at CNY 4,299 (around INR 50,070) in China and should launch in India at around INR 60,000.
3) ROG Phone 9 Series

ASUS is refreshing its yearly smartphone lineup on November 19 with the ROG Phone 9 Series. A report from 91mobiles revealed that the lineup will include two devices - ROG Phone 9 and ROG Phone 9 Pro. Another report from the same publication reveals that it will feature a whopping 185Hz refresh rate, the highest for a smartphone. The series will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC.
The ROG Phone 9 Series will have LED lights and a mini display on the back. It will have a flat OLED display with LTPO technology support that reduces the screen refresh rate automatically when not in use. It will also get an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
The ROG Phone 9 Series will run Android 15-based ROG UI out of the box and have a plethora of AI features. For the optics, the series will pack a 50MP Sony LYT700 sensor. It will feature a 5,800mAh battery with 65W fast charging support.
The ROG Phone 9 Series will be coupled with tons of gaming accessories like a Clear Case, Aero Case and the AeroActive Cooler X Pro.
The ROG Phone 8 was launched at Rs 94,999 in India last year, so don’t be surprised if ASUS crosses the INR 1 lakh price range with the ROG Phone 9.
4) iQOO 13 5G

The iQOO 13 could be the cheapest Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered smartphone in India. The brand has been teasing its India launch since it was announced for China; however, a launch date is yet to be announced. The phone features the same design as its predecessor, but with the addition of Halo LED lights that glow around its camera module.
It flaunts a 6.82-inch BOE AMOLED display with 2K resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and 4500 nits of peak brightness. It runs Android 15-based OriginOS 5 in China but will launch with FunTouchOS 15 out of the box.
For optics, the iQOO 13 features a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP Sony IMX921 main, a 50MP Samsung J1 ultrawide, and a 50MP Sony IMX816 telephoto sensor. On the front, it has a 32MP sensor for selfies and video calls. The iQOO 13 has a 6,150mAh battery with 120W fast charging support.
The iQOO 13 price in China is the same as its predecessor, so we speculate that its price won’t change in India as well. The iQOO 12 was launched at a price of INR 52,999 in India.

5) Vivo X200 Series

Thanks to its camera prowess, the Vivo X100 Series was a hit in India. Its successor, the Vivo X200 Series, has already launched in China and could be launched in India this month. It consists of the X200, X200 Pro, and X200 Pro Mini; however, the Mini version’s India launch is yet to be confirmed.
The Vivo X Series has always been about its camera, and so is the case with the X200 Series. The Vivo X200 Pro features a 200MP ISOCELL HP9 periscope telephoto camera, a first on any smartphone. It also has a 50MP Sony LYT-818 main and a 50MP ISOCELL JN1 ultra-wide sensor on the back. All these lenses are co-engineered with ZEISS technology to give consumers more edge on filters and portrait shots. The Vivo X200 Series also supports Live Photo and 4K HDR Cinematic Portrait video shooting.
