Nothing's sub-brand CMF is gearing up to release its upcoming smartphone, the CMF Phone 2 Pro — in India in later this month. Three new TWS earphones will also be launched along with it. Ahead of the buzz, one crucial fact has now been confirmed: the CMF Phone 2 Pro will come with a charger in the box, but only for Indian consumers.

This is a change from the firm's past practice. The initial CMF Phone 1 had no charging brick, which raised some grievances among consumers. Co-founder Akis Evangelidis made this issue clear on X (formerly known as Twitter), sharing a photo of the retail box packaging for the CMF Phone 2 Pro. The photo made it perfectly clear that there was a place reserved for a two-pronged charger, affirming that Indian buyers will have a bundled charger.

Evangelidis explained that this action is a regional one and that only the Indian market will receive the charger with the phone. Customers from other nations might still need to buy the charger separately, while only the phone and a charging cable will be included in their retail box.

CMF now retails three chargers in India — Power 33W, Power 65W GaN, and Power 100W GaN — for as low as ₹1,299. But it is not known if the bundled charger with the CMF Phone 2 Pro will be a standard unit or a GaN (Gallium Nitride) charger, which generally provides superior efficiency and quicker charging.

As for the phone itself, CMF has shared some early information. The Phone 2 Pro will be available through Flipkart and should have a tactile, textured finish. One of the colours that has been confirmed is a Silver/Grey option. In terms of design, it should retain the removable back panel with exposed screws — a design feature inherited from the CMF Phone 1.

Though complete details are kept hidden, initial rumours indicate the phone may have a triple rear camera setup and would be driven by a MediaTek Dimensity processor. If competitively priced, it may adopt the same value-for-money approach of its predecessor that was launched in India at Rs 15,999.

With the formal announcement due shortly, further news regarding the features, price tag, and specs of the CMF Phone 2 Pro are due to land in a few weeks' time.
