The maker of the most beautiful car mankind has ever seen. The arch nemesis to James Bond’s clever yet classy Aston Martins. A name that adorns some of the fastest sports cars in history. That’s Jaguar. That’s how people remember it.
Sadly, Jaguar is changing. The modern times haven’t been kind to this iconic British automotive brand, even after Tata Motors’ desperate attempts to spin off a sporty SUV with the F-Pace. It couldn’t quite nail the kind of revival its sister brand Land Rover did. The F-Type sports car doesn’t exist anymore and the same can be said for its beautiful batch of saloons.
The solution? A total rebrand.

Jaguar has boldly showcased a new brand identity, complete with a new logo and a new vision for this legacy automotive brand. The inclination now seems to be more lifestyle-oriented than towards Jaguar’s rich motorsport pedigree. For a brand that wants to transition wholly into electric mobility, this seems like a clever branding strategy, at least on paper. The first car under a rebranded Jaguar is likely to be shown on 2 December 2024 in Miami.

For auto enthusiasts and Jaguar’s old fans though, this seems unacceptable. Jaguar’s PR team must be having a nightmare, especially after the wild trolling the brand faces on social media platforms.
What’s worse is that Jaguar’s rebranding effort was trolled by Elon Musk, the founder of Jaguar’s biggest rival in the EV space – Tesla.
Hence, join us as we explore some of the cheeky digs at Jaguar and its new brand identity from the internet.
Jaguar gets trolled!
Let’s start with the first one from Elon Musk, to which Jaguar came up with a humble response.

Jaguar's new all-electric strategy
With a new branding, Jaguar will now head towards a new all-electric future. From 2026 onwards, the British automaker will launch electric vehicles only. None of the brand's charismatic petrol-powered cars and SUVs will be sold.
