Maruti recently announced the new version of the Dzire and Honda couldn't resist sitting silent. Hence, Honda now wants to 'Amaze' you with what it thinks is the ideal compact sedan.

Honda has released the design sketch of its next-generation Amaze just as Maruti revealed the prices of the Dzire. At first glance, it seems largely inspired by the Honda City. With the new look, Honda's most affordable sedan is looking promising.

Additionally, Honda has also revealed photos of the interior of its new sub-compact sedan, which now resembles some of the latest new-gen Honda cars.

In the world of affordable sedans, Maruti Dzire, Hyundai Aura and Honda Amaze are three great options for buyers on a strict budget. It looks like Honda is trying to gain all the eyeballs on the roads with cosmetic changes like aerodynamic cuts and making the vehicle more accessible by upgrading some playful features.

After a market analysis of the Indian automobile market, the third-generation Amaze has been designed at the Honda R&D Asia Pacific centre in Thailand. Honda has given a complete makeover with a modern touch.

Honda Amaze: Exterior updates

The updated version of Honda Amaze was in the pipeline of the company. Honda has dropped the design sketches of the car, which means we have a reference point for our expectations.

The front profile of the car has been enhanced to looks like a combination of the new-gen Honda City and Honda Accord, both of which costs much more than the Amaze itself. The front features a chunky chrome bar connecting both sides of dual-pod LED headlights, a reference to the pre-facelift edition of the current-gen Honda City. Just above the LED light, it features a running DRL strip, which is a common practice by car manufacturers these days.

The front features front fog lamps arranged in a triangular shape. The new Amaze is expected to be equipped with either 15-inch or 16-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels, following the design pattern of the Honda City. At the rear, the vehicle adopts a similar style to the Honda City, with connected LED taillights and a sporty rear bumper, contributing to its assertive look.

Honda Amaze: The interiors

After taking inspiration from the Honda City for the exterior design, the brand has adopted elements of the Honda Elevate for the interior.

The cabin features dual-tone colours. It is equipped with a larger floating touchscreen infotainment system at the centre, along with tweeter units integrated into the front A-pillars, sleek AC vents, and decorative accents on the dashboard. The steering wheel, typical of Honda, is laden with numerous controls. Below the automatic climate control unit, there are charging ports and a wireless charging pad. From the images, it appears that the cupholders are positioned ahead of the automatic gear lever.

Honda's aim is to introduce a modern touch to the Amaze while enhancing the sedan's overall luxurious feel. The car is expected to be available in multiple variants, though companies typically reveal only the top models. It remains to be seen how the brand will impress both loyal and new customers upon the sedan's release.
