New Updates
The Honda Elevate Apex Edition has received updates on the outside as well as on the inside.
The cosmetic changes comprise piano-black inserts and Apex edition badges. The piano-black inserts can be seen on the lower section of the front bumper, under the doors, and on the rear bumper. Additionally, the front bumper is complemented with a silver-finished faux skid plate, while the rear bumper is incorporated with a chrome-finished element.
The front fenders have Apex-specific ‘A’ badging and the tailgate has ‘Apex Edition’ badging embossed.
On the other hand, the interior of the 2024 Elevate Apex Edition remains more or less the same as the standard version, but it has a different dual-tone colour scheme of black and white. Having said that, the door panels have a white leatherette treatment, while the rest of the panels are finished in black.
To make this vehicle more competitive in its segment, Honda India has taken a wise call to add ambient lighting. But this feature is exclusive to the top-spec variant of the standard Honda Elevate.
No other changes/updates have been made to the cabin of the 2024 Honda Elevate SUV.
Features
In this department, the Apex Edition of the Elevate has features borrowed from the mid-spec V and VX variants.
Features onboard include a set of LED headlamps with LED DRLs, LED taillamps, 16-inch steel wheels, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an auto HVAC, and a 4-speaker audio system. It also has a rear parking camera and six airbags.
These features are of the ‘V’ variant of the Elevate.
In parallel, the VX variant of the Elevate boasts a 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheel, a single-pane sunroof, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a semi-digital instrument cluster, a wireless phone charger, a rear wiper, and a lane-watch camera (on co-passenger ORVM).
The top-spec variant of the Honda Elevate is equipped with a bigger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit and an ADAS suite.
Engine and Transmission
Mechanically, the Apex Edition of the Honda Elevate SUV is unchanged. It continues to be powered by a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, naturally-aspirated petrol engine, which is tuned to churn out 119bhp at 6600rpm and 145Nm of peak torque at 4300rpm.
It has a standard six-speed manual and an optional CVT gearbox.
Competitors
The Honda Elevate takes the likes of the Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and Toyota Hyryder. Similarly priced vehicles also include the new Coupe SUVs, including the Citroen Basalt and Tata Curvv.
