Now TVS Is Working On An ADV Motorcycle! This Is How It Might Look

TVS Motor Company is gaining attention on social media these days. The brand is gearing up to accelerate the speed to give fly-bys to its competitors. A few months ago, the brand came up with the innovative design of the Apache RR 310 and in recent moto events, the brand has focused on showcasing the abilities of the TVS Ronin platform.

The brand was sharing the same 300cc engine that BMW was also using in its entry-level bikes. The TVS RR 310 and TVS RTR 310 were based on the same engine on which BMW G 310R, BMW G 310 RR and the BMW G 310 GS were built. Recently, the brand has launched an updated version of its TVS RR 310 with increased power, torque and electronics.

The brand has recently unveiled its 300cc engine at Motosoul 2024, called the RTXD 300. This new TVS engine comes with a liquid-cooled system and uses four valves with dual overhead cams. TVS has used a plasma-coated cylinder to improve the mechanics and reduce friction. It is also equipped with a dual-oil pump and a split-chamber crankcase. The new engine will support throttle-by-wire technology.

The new engine will produce 34.5 bhp maximum power at 9000 RPM and 28.5 Nm of peak torque at 7000 RPM. TVS will pair the engine with a six-speed transmission and a slip-and-assist clutch.

TVS upcoming adventure motorcycle spotted

People have been expecting TVS to release its first adventure motorcycle with this engine and recently, some people have spotted it on Indian roads. A YouTube user, Domi Raptor, has uploaded a video showing two TVS adventure motorcycles on the road.

The motorcycle is covered with camouflage in the spy shots but we can still guess the model and cosmetic features of the motorcycle. The upcoming adventure model could be called the TVS Apache RTX 300.

The spy video suggests that the TVS ADV could be a road-biased adventure touring motorcycle with limited off-road credentials. The brand may ship the motorcycle with a 19/17-inch wheels combination.

Similar to the Xpulse Pro Rally version, TVS may launch a proper off-roading version of the upcoming motorcycle with a 21/17-inch wheel pack. This motorcycle is expected to come with the TVS RTX D4 engine and it may produce 35 bhp at 9000 RPM and a peak torque of 28.5 Nm at 7000 RPM. It is expected to come with a six-speed gearbox. In terms of electronics, it may feature LED lighting, switchable dual-channel ABS and an adjustable suspension system.

Expected price

The motorcycle is expected to be priced at INR 2.6 lakhs. It will compete with the Himalayan 450 and the Suzuki V-Strom 250. Initially, before the development of the new engine, people anticipated that TVS would launch an adventure motorcycle equipped with the same BMW G 310 GS engine. However, the brand has finally put all such rumours to rest.
