The BMW F 900 GS has an offroad-focused slim design language that looks striking and provides leverage in offroad manoeuvrability. The motorcycle is equipped with a 21-inch front wheel and 17-inch rear wheel, plus these are cross-spoke wheels wrapped in 90/90 R21 front and 150/70 R17 rear tubeless tyres.

The motorcycle gets twin 305mm discs at the front and a single 265mm disc at the rear with ABS support for increased stopping power. The motorcycle weighs 219kg and has a 14.5-litre petrol tank.

The BMW F 900 GSA has a typical BMW ADV design and appears much bulkier than the standard 900 GS at first glance. This motorcycle will be a road-focused machine and gets electronically adjustable suspension which is not available on the standard GS 900.

The bulky look of the GSA is the reason for its 27 kg heavier weight as compared to the standard model.

Performance and Features

BMW has taken the currently available 853cc twin-cylinder motor and has increased the displacement to 895cc by increasing the bore. This new higher capacity engine will power these new motorcycles that churns out 105hp and 93Nm of peak torque.

Both these motorcycles are loaded with features such as traction control, ABS, bi-directional quick shifter, riding modes and much more. All these features can be browsed and operated via the 6.5-inch TFT display.

Expected Pricing and Launch Details

The current middleweight lineup of the BMW F 850 GS and F 850 GSA is on sale in India for Rs 12.95 lakh and Rs 13.75 lakh, respectively. Both are ex-showroom prices, as of August 2024.

However, we can expect the new 900 GS series to be priced a little higher over the aforementioned 850cc bikes upon its India launch, which is expected to take place soon.
