TVS had a good showing at the Bharat Mobility Auto Expo 2025, full of exotic Norton motorcycles and futuristic electric scooter concepts. While the fancy iQube concept did affirm that TVS designers can make exciting-looking scooters, a lot of youngsters were attracted to the TVS X Nacht Fury concept – a pretty carbon fibre scooter with a drone on its back and cameras all around! While this drone scooter may not be hitting the showrooms in the near future, TVS is commencing the deliveries of its sober version.

The TVS X electric scooter, which was unveiled almost a year ago, is finally hitting the showrooms. News from dealerships in Bengaluru have been delivering the first batch of TVS X scooters to customers and based on what we hear, customers in other cities will also get their scooters soon.TVS hasn’t announced any price correction prior to the deliveries and while that’s a good thing, we still can’t get around the fact that the TVS X is the brand’s priciest scooter in the country.

But what is the TVS X?

For everyone who lost touch with two-wheeler news from a year ago, the TVS X is the brand’s flagship scooter championing the cause of electric powertrains. It costs INR 2.4 lakhs ex-showroom, which puts it in a league of its own. There’s nothing else in the Indian scooter market that costs and performs like TVS X. Even the Ather 450X Apex, which is considered a serious performance electric scooter, costs a meagre INR 1.99 lakh ex-showroom!

Since you are spending a premium on an electric scooter, TVS is giving you a lot of kit to play with. The TVS X consists of a 2.2 kWh battery that powers a 7.5 kW electric motor. This is a potent combination that delivers incredible performance, especially for an electric scooter. It can attain a top speed of 105 kph, with a 0-40 kph time of 2.4 seconds. However, when you aren’t pushing the throttle, the TVS X can deliver a range of up to 140 km.

While these are impressive figures, the real reason why you’d spend so much on this scooter is its handling credentials. The TVS X has a twin-spar frame that consists of a motorcycle-inspired mid-aluminium frame, a low cradle to hold the battery pack centrally and another subframe. While this arrangement eliminates any useable footboard space, the gains are notable when it comes to cornering. The TVS X is among the sportiest, if not the sportiest scooters, that you can buy in India.

Riders get three riding modes to choose from – Xtealth, Xtride and Xtonic. Although there’s single-channel ABS onboard, TVS offers the luxury of cruise control, NavPro onboard navigation, live video streaming and video games – stuff that would excite Gen Z riders. The 10.25-inch TFT display, which is adjustable for angle, also supports Android Auto

As far as the charging is concerned, the TVS X can be charged from 0-80 per cent in 4.5 hours.

And above all, the styling of the TVS X takes the crown! We still can’t get over the front fascia, especially with its slim LED headlight.
