The KTM 250 Duke has always been the darling of motorcycle enthusiasts who crave excitement without pursuing the limits of practicality. The 250 Duke has always been a favourite for those who want performance but don’t want to be intimidated by the brutality of the 390 Duke.
KTM is one of the few brands that listen to their fans. The brand recently modified the look of the motorcycle to shed its perception by the masses. The new 250 Duke now has the same style as the third-generation 390 Duke, including the 390's colour TFT instrument cluster.
The 250 Duke strikes a perfect balance in KTM's small bike lineup. It’s sporty enough to get your adrenaline pumping on an unfavourable road but it can also manage everyday commutes and accommodate new riders stepping into the world of performance motorcycling. Its single-cylinder engine delivers a punchy 31 PS of power paired with KTM’s signature lightweight frame.
Hence, the weight and power ratio helps the motorcycle glide like an eagle on the track. It’s thrilling without being intimidating, making it perfect for riders who want the best of both worlds.

The 250 Duke looks the same as the 390 Duke but only in terms of appearance. The 390 is more expensive, demands more pampering and seeks your wallet every single time you take it for maintenance. Not the case with the 250.
The fuel efficiency is also better in the 250 Duke. It ticks the boxes for practicality without sacrificing fun. Additionally, its smoother power delivery makes it a fantastic option for urban riders who need a reliable yet spirited machine.
Now that it’s more affordable, the KTM 250 Duke offers unbeatable value for those looking to join the orange revolution. Whether you’re upgrading or entering the KTM family, this bike is a clear winner!

Everything about KTM 250 Duke
The latest generation of the 250 Duke is powered by a single-cylinder 250cc engine. The engine produces 31 PS max power at 9250 RPM and 25 Nm peak torque at 7250 RPM. The new 5-inch TFT instrument cluster is equipped with smartphone and headset connectivity. However, it’s a good practice not to misuse this feature by connecting earphones. This feature is primarily useful for those who connect their helmets for navigation and quick-call purposes.
Additionally, the new version comes with a quick-shifter, dual-channel ABS and LED headlights and taillights. KTM has also changed the seat height in the new motorcycle, which is now set at a lower 800mm. Tall riders can get the seat height increased to 820mm by purchasing new seats from KTM showrooms.
The company has also improved the suspension. At the front, it features telescopic suspension and on the rear, it has mono-shock suspension for a smoother ride quality. The motorcycle is currently available in Ebony Black, Electric Orange and Atlantic Blue.
Conclusion
It’s the perfect time to add this humble KTM to your garage. The 250 Duke can be your reliable companion for office commutes, quick trips to the local market or even thrilling adventures on the track. While it may not be as brutal as its elder sibling, the 390 Duke, it compensates with better fuel efficiency. Its power delivery is robust enough to give you the excitement of riding an aggressive naked motorcycle.
