KTM’s highly anticipated adventure motorcycle, the 390 Adventure R, was spotted undisguised before its official unveiling at the EICMA.
This is the production-ready variant of the 390 Adventure R and it looks radically different from its predecessor in a good way. The motorcycle follows the typical KTM ADV design language, which looks smashing with the brand’s signature orange and white colour combination.
Design of 2025 KTM 390 Adventure R
The motorcycle has a Dakar Rally-inspired bodywork that imparts a massive road presence. Enhancing the 2025 KTM 390 Adventure’s style are horseshoe-shaped LED DRLs and twin vertically laid out projector LED headlamps. It also gets a tall windscreen with a cutout for sending some cool air.
Taking a closer look at the leaked image reveals that the motorcycle also has auxiliary lights. However, we suspect KTM could offer these as optional accessories.
The motorcycle's seemingly large fuel tank should come in handy for longer off and on-road sessions. It also gets chunky tank extensions for styling and a long single-piece seat that should provide enough room for the rider, pillion and luggage.

Performance of 2025 KTM 390 Adventure R
The 2025 KTM 390 Adventure R has borrowed its propulsion system from its street naked sibling, the 390 Duke. This 399cc liquid-cooled petrol burner is coupled with a 6-speed gearbox and churns out 45.3 HP and 39 Nm of peak torque on the Duke. This engine has been an enthusiast’s favourite on the street naked and it is expected to be in the same state of tune on this machine too. However, the gearing is expected to be different on this machine to suit its characteristics.
Other than the engine, the motorcycle uses its frame as a style element with part of it painted in orange and black. It appears to be a steel trellis frame. Suspension duties are handled by WP forks at the front and an offset mono-shock at the rear. It gets disc brakes on both ends along with cornering ABS for enhanced safety. It gets spoke wheels along with block pattern tyres to easily handle anything that comes in its way.

Features of 2025 KTM 390 Adventure R
The motorcycle is also not behind when it comes to offering modern features, it is loaded with a TFT screen, Bluetooth connectivity, navigation, multiple riding modes, traction control and more. Interestingly, the motorcycle will also be equipped with cruise control for long, effortless and comfortable highway rides.
Expected pricing and launch date
The motorcycle will be officially unveiled tomorrow at the EICMA and it is expected to arrive in India over the next few years. Since this is the top-of-the-line 390 Adventure, we can expect it to be priced slightly higher than the outgoing variant.
