The Chakan-based automobile manufacturer Bajaj Auto has trademarked the ‘Fighter’ name in India. There is no confirmation about the model that will use this name, but several reports suggest that it’s for the upcoming Bajaj CNG bike. In fact, the company also trademarked the ‘Bruzer’ moniker for the same bike.
Moreover, Bajaj Auto also confirmed that their CNG bike will go on sale in the country on June 18.
Bajaj CNG Bike: Exterior
The leaked images of the upcoming CNG bike indicated that it will be offered in two versions. The first version has a typical commuter design language with bulb indicators, a rounded LED headlamp, a long and flat single-piece seat, a flyscreen, and a conventional exhaust pipe.
In contrast, the other version is deemed to have a more aggressive look, as it was seen equipped with multiple noteworthy features, comprising a sump guard, knuckle guards, and raised and braced handlebars.
Bajaj CNG Bike: Expected Offerings and Pricing
The exact specifications of the Bajaj CNG bike remain to be seen. But there are speculations that this CNG bike might have a CNG-based 125cc engine setup to draw power at par with the 100cc/110cc bike. For your reference, the CNG vehicles usually have a lower engine output than their petrol counterparts.
Since this will be a budget commuter bike, it is expected to stand on a widely-used cost-effective suspension setup, comprising a telescopic fork at the front and monoshock at the rear. The braking duties will most likely be taken care of by disc-drum brakes.
Bajaj Auto will most likely price this offering under Rs 90,000. The exact price will be disclosed at its launch event on June 18, 2024.
