Bajaj Freedom 125: Specifications
As for this CNG bike’s specifications, the Bajaj Freedom 125 is the first 125cc bike to be architectured on a trellis frame. The edge given by the trellis frame is that it’s robust and lightweight, at the same time.
The Freedom 125 bike stands on a telescopic fork at the front and a linked mono-shock at the rear. Usually, a regular mono-shock, connected directly to the frame or the swingarm is used, but, on the Freedom 125, there is a link-type mono-shock setup, which utilises an extended link from the frame, and the top and bottom parts of the mono-shock are connected to the pivot point on the frame and the extended link, respectively.
As for the figures, the Freedom 125 CNG bike is powered by a 125cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, which produces 9.3bhp and 9.7Nm of peak torque and is paired with a five-speed manual transmission.
The storage capacity of the CNG tank is 2kg, while the petrol tank is rated at 2 litres. Additionally, the overall weight of the CNG tank is 16kg. The AIS-028-rated CNG tank is placed horizontally under the seat.
Further, Bajaj claims that in CNG mode, the bike gives an average of 102km/kg, while in the petrol-only mode, the bike returns 65kmpl. The company has claimed a combined range of 330 kilometres.
