Xiaomi 15, Xiaomi 15 Ultra Featuring 200-Megapixel Camera Launched In India: All Details Here

After launching the Xiaomi 15 series in the Chinese market, the electronics major has launched its flagship series in the Indian market. Priced at a super flagship point, the Xiaomi series intends to change the landscape of camera-centric smartphone enthusiasts and also promises to bring in a bunch of software updates.

Xiaomi 15 series: Price and availability

The Xiaomi 15 base variant has been launched at Rs 64,999 for the 12/512GB variant - whereas the Xiaomi Ultra 15 has been priced at Rs 1,09,000 for the 16/512GB variant. The Xiaomi 15 series will become available for purchase starting from April 3, 2025 on mi.com, Amazon.in and authorized retail stores.

Interested buyers can pre-book the device starting from March 19. Also, on pre-booking the device - buyers will be eligible for a Rs 5000 cashback if they are using the ICICI bank card on the Xiaomi 15 and a cashback on the Xiaomi Ultra 15.

Buyers will also receive the Complimentary Xiaomi Care Plan worth Rs 5,999.

Xiaomi 15 series: Specifications

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra features a massive 6.73-inch WQHD+ AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 3200 nits. The 15 Ultra arrives featuring a Silver Chrome finish and gets a mix of glass fiber and PU leather which gives a premium feel.

In terms of camera specifications - the 15 Ultra comes packed with a 50-megapixel 1-inch Sony sensor, a 70mm Leica telephoto lens, a 100mm ultra telephoto with a 200-megapixel sensor, and a 14mm ultra-wide camera.

The 15 Ultra's cameras also supports 4K slow-motion at 120fps, Dolby Vision 4K at 60fps, 10-bit Log recording for pro-level videos.

The Ultra comes powered by a 5410mAh battery with 90W wired and 80W wireless charging.

The Xiaomi 15 is the more compact option which features a 6.36-inch CrystalRes AMOLED Display and gets the same peak brightness as the 15 Ultra. Colour options on the Xiaomi 15 includes Black, White, and Green.

Camera specifications includes a triple camera array with a 50-megapixel sensor, a 60mm Leica telephoto lens, and a 14mm ultra-wide camera. The Xiaomi 15 also supports 8K video at 30fps and Dolby Vision 4K at 60fps. 

Other specifications include a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset coupled with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. It comes powered by a 5240mAh battery with 90W wired and 50W wireless charging.

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra, Xiaomi 15 arrives with AI-powered features like AI Writing, AI Speech Recognition, and AI Image Enhancement - operating on the HyperOS 2. It also comes with HyperConnect feature which makes file-sharing seamless with macOS and iOS devices.
