Vivo V40 Series Launched in India With 50MP Telephoto Camera

The Vivo V40 Series is official in India. The series consists of two smartphones: Vivo V40 and Vivo 40 Pro. The Vivo V40 Pro is the slimmest phone in India, and it features a 5,500mAh battery unit. Like its predecessors, the Vivo V40 Series also features ZEISS optics to enhance camera results. We attended the launch event in Delhi to take a close look at these devices.

Vivo V40 Series Specifications

The Vivo V40 and V40 Pro feature a new Infinity Eye camera module. The devices are equipped with a 6.78-inch 3D curved AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 4500 nits, and HDR10+ support. The devices are just 7.58mm thick.

The display is protected by SHOTT Xensation Alpha cover glass, and both devices have an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

In terms of optics, the Vivo V40 Pro boasts a 50MP Sony IMX921 main sensor, accompanied by a 50MP ultra-wide and a 50MP 2x telephoto sensor on the rear. On the front, it features a 50MP selfie camera. The Vivo V40 has the same camera setup, except for the telephoto sensor. All these lenses are enhanced with ZEISS optics technology.

The V40 Pro is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC, while the V40 is powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC. The brand has also introduced closed-box dual stereo speakers to the V40 series, which were not available in any of its predecessors. The Vivo V40 series is powered by a 5500mAh battery and supports 80W fast charging.

The Vivo V40 Series is available in three colours: Ganges Blue, Titanium Grey, and Lotus Purple. The pricing of these devices is listed as follows:
