Vivo V40 Series With Zeiss-Branded Lenses to Launch on August 7

The Vivo V40 Series is officially confirmed to launch in India on August 7, 2024. The upcoming V40 Series consists of two smartphones - Vivo V40 and Vivo V40 Pro. Just like its predecessors, the Vivo V40 series will feature ZEISS-branded camera lenses. It will also have an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, a 5500 mAh battery, an AMOLED display, and more.

Vivo V40 and Vivo V40 Pro Key Specifications

The VIvo V40 Series devices will feature a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate and 1260x2800 pixels resolution. The Vivo V40 is powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip whereas the the Vivo V40 Pro is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ chipset.

Famous for its optics, the Vivo V40 Pro will feature a 50MP main sensor accompanied by a 50MP ultrawide, and a 50MP 2x telephoto sensor on its back. On the front, it features a 50MP selfie camera. The Vivo V40 has the same camera setup excluding a telephoto sensor. 

Vivo V40 will come with a single speaker, whereas the V40 Pro will come with dual speakers. Both phones have IP68 ratings and 80W charging support, with a 5500mAh battery in the V40 Pro and a 6000mAh battery in the Vivo V40.

Vivo V40 Series Expected Price in India

Vivo has consistently launched its V series at around Rs 30,000 and its V Pro series at Rs 40,000. We can expect the same with Vivo V40 and Vivo V40 Pro. In the previous year, Vivo launched the Vivo V30 at Rs 30,000 and the Vivo V30 Pro for Rs 41,000 (inclusive of all discounts).
