TECNO Launches HiOS 15 With AI Features, Local Language Support, and Performance Upgrades for India

TECNO has officially announced the rollout of its highly anticipated HiOS 15 update, a major step forward in improving smartphone experiences through AI integration, localized intelligence, and performance enhancements. Tailored especially for Indian users, HiOS 15 is TECNO’s latest Android-based custom operating system, focused on making smartphones more intuitive, culturally relevant, and useful in daily life.

HiOS 15 brings a cleaner and faster system by reducing pre-installed apps by 40%, making the device significantly lighter and more responsive. The updated user interface features dynamic wallpapers, minimalist icons, and enhanced animations, offering a modern and fluid experience. Its upgraded animation engine improves app exit speeds by 15%, while MemFusion 3.0 allows users to run over 25 apps simultaneously without lag. Memory defragmentation ensures long-term RAM and storage efficiency, and Sensory Scheduling 2.0 has passed a 25-app stress test, indicating excellent multitasking stability.

TECNO has also introduced Wireless Mic Mode, which lets users turn their smartphones into wireless microphones by connecting to external speakers—ideal for public announcements or events.

HiOS Also Gets An AI Assistant

A standout addition in HiOS 15 is Ella AI, an advanced AI assistant built in partnership with Indian language models like Sarvam AI. Ella currently supports Hindi and will add Bengali, Tamil, Gujarati, and Marathi via OTA updates by year-end. Key features include real-time call translations and transcriptions, smart call summaries with AI Auto Answer, and AI Voiceprint Noise Suppression for clearer communication. Ella can also summarize, rewrite, or expand notes and convert handwritten content into editable documents.

HiOS 15 also empowers creativity with several AI-based tools. AI Eraser 2.0 and Image Extender enable effortless photo edits using voice commands. Users can also generate custom wallpapers or artistic portraits through AI Wallpaper Generator, Vogue Portraits, and Artboard. AI Sharpness Plus revives blurry photos without needing internet access.

On the privacy front, Smart Privacy with AI Blurring automatically detects and obscures sensitive content in screenshots before sharing, enhancing visual data protection.

Further upgrades include a redesigned control panel, Picture-in-Picture (PiP) support, and an overall streamlined UI with less bloatware in future devices.
