Tata Motors has introduced the 2025 Altroz facelift at an introductory price of ₹6.89 lakh (ex-showroom), marking the first major update to the premium hatchback since its debut in 2020. Bookings for the refreshed Altroz will begin on June 2, 2025. Competing with the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Toyota Glanza, and Hyundai i20, the facelift brings new design elements, updated technology, and added safety features.

On the outside, the Altroz sports a redesigned front with an 8-lamp setup and LED signature inspired by the 2018 45X concept. A new 3D grille and split LED headlamps with sleek DRLs add to the modern look. Segment-first flush door handles on the front doors improve both styling and aerodynamics, while 90-degree opening doors enhance ease of entry and exit. The rear sees updated infinity LED tail lamps and a revised bumper. EV-style alloy wheels complete the refreshed exterior design, which aligns with Tata’s latest styling language.

Inside, the cabin is updated with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a new two-spoke steering wheel featuring an illuminated Tata logo, and an upgraded climate control panel. The Altroz also gets ventilated front seats, a fully digital 10.2-inch instrument cluster, and comes in five trims—Smart, Pure, Creative, Accomplished S, and Accomplished+ S—along with five color options.

Tata claims segment-best comfort with Executive Lounge seats offering 8% better thigh support than rivals. Interior space is improved with generous headroom (990mm front, 957mm rear) and hip room (1318mm front, 1281mm rear). Boot space stands at 345 litres for the petrol/diesel variants and 210 litres for the CNG version.

Powertrain options include a 1.2-litre NA petrol (88bhp/115Nm), a 1.2-litre turbo petrol in the Racer variant (118bhp/170Nm), a 1.5-litre diesel (89bhp/200Nm), and a 1.2-litre CNG. Transmission choices now include a 5-speed manual, a new 5-speed AMT, and a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic (DCA), making the Altroz the only car in its segment to offer all three options.

New features include a 360-degree HD camera, blind view monitor, voice-assisted sunroof, ambient lighting, air purifier, 65W fast charging ports, and Tata’s iRA connected car suite with over 50 features. The Altroz supports four voice assistants for intuitive operation. Safety remains a priority, with a 5-star Global NCAP rating, six airbags, ESP, ISOFIX, SOS calling, and more on higher variants.
