Oppo Reno14 Series
OPPO has announced an expansion of its strategic partnership with Google, marking a new phase in AI integration with the upcoming Reno14 Series. This collaboration brings Google’s Gemini AI directly into OPPO’s core apps, enabling users to perform cross-app tasks through simple natural language commands.
The announcement follows the recent news that OPPO’s flagship Find X8 supports Android 16 Beta 3, reinforcing the company’s ongoing collaboration with Google. The next-generation Reno14 Series is expected to push this partnership further by embedding Gemini AI into OPPO Notes, Calendar, and Clock apps, allowing users to interact with multiple services using a single voice or text prompt.

Speaking on the collaboration, Kai Tang, President of OPPO’s Software Engineering, said, “Our mission at OPPO is to use AI to meaningfully empower our users, which we achieve through strategic partnerships like our collaboration with Google.” He added that the integration of Gemini into the Reno14 Series would let users complete more complex tasks across apps effortlessly, making everyday usage more efficient.
Gemini is the next big step
Gemini will be accessible by pressing and holding the side button, and will support multi-step actions across apps. For example, users could ask Gemini to summarise a document and save it in OPPO Notes, or extract recipe instructions from a YouTube video and store them for later use. Additionally, Gemini can update calendars and manage reminders using information sourced from emails or messages.
The partnership builds upon the foundation of ColorOS 15, and reflects OPPO’s larger vision for AI. The company recently outlined its enhanced AI strategy at Mobile World Congress 2025, where it revealed plans to bring generative AI features to nearly 100 million users by the end of the year.
This move positions OPPO as one of the first smartphone makers to implement Google’s Gemini AI at a deeper system level across multiple apps. The collaboration reflects a growing trend among device manufacturers to offer native AI experiences tailored to user workflows.
As the Reno14 Series prepares for launch, the integration of Gemini AI signals a continued focus on practical AI solutions, aiming to simplify tasks and improve day-to-day usability without requiring multiple app switches or complex manual steps.
