OnePlus has launched its mid-range smartphone, Nord 4 in India. The device is the only 5G smartphone in India to feature a metal back. However, under Rs 30,000 is one of the competitive price segments in India, and Nord 4 faces heat from some established payers. The OnePlus Nord 4 has a unibody metal design that looks attractive and provides a premium in-hand feel. The upper half of the back is a glass panel that houses the main cameras of the device. The OnePlus Nord 4 has a dual rear camera configuration consisting of a 50MP Sony LYT600 main sensor with OIS support and an 8MP ultrawide unit. The selfies and video chats are taken care of, by a 16MP shooter. The Realme GT 6T also has a dual rear camera setup with a primary 50MP Sony LYT600 main sensor and an 8MP Sony IMX355 ultrawide sensor. The selfie shooter on the Realme is a higher resolution 32MP Sony IMX615 sensor.

Both these devices are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset. The Realme GT 6T is running the Android 14-based Realme UI 5 whereas the OnePlus Nord 4 is running the Oxygen OS 14.1 which is also based on the Android 14.

Both these devices feature a 5500mAh cell but have different charging speeds. The Nord 4 supports up to 100W charging whereas Realme GT 6T supports 120W fast charging.

The OnePlus Nord 4 starts at Rs 29,999 whereas the Realme GT 6T is Rs 1,000 expensive for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. There are bank offers available to bring the pricing down of both these devices. Now choosing one of these comes down to your personal preference for the software, because, Realme is running a heavy custom skin whereas OnePlus’s skin is very close to the vanilla Android experience. The front camera resolution of the Realme is also slightly superior here, so if you click a lot of selfies then the Realme might be the better bet for you. Rest, performance and battery life are close calls.
