If you are in the market looking for something which is not entirely Chinese and a decent mid-ranger which does not break the bank under Rs 30,000. Then you have nothing to worry about because we now have the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion and the Nothing Phone 3a. These two phones were recently launched in the Indian market and brings a lot of moolah to the table.

Both smartphones feature decent performance and innovative features with triple camera setups, which makes it a good choice for anyone who is looking to buy a mid-ranger smartphone right now.

Design And Build Quality

Starting with the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion, the smartphone features a curved-edge design and a durable military-grade build. It also features IP68/IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance. 

The Nothing Phone 3a, meanwhile features its usual transparent back with Glyph lighting capable of customisable notifications. It also features an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance.

Display

The Motorola Edge 60 Fusion features a 6.7-inch pOLED panel which brings 1.5K resolution and gets a peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits. The screen also gets a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection. 

As for the Nothing Phone 3a, the phone features a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. The screen gets a peak brightness of 3,000 nits and offers 10-bit colour depth, and comes protected by Panda Glass.

Processor and performance

The Motorola Edge 60 Fusion comes powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset, which comes paired by 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of uMCP storage. The device also gets microSD expansion of up to 1TB of storage.

On the other hand, the Nothing Phone 3a operates on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset which has been built on the 4nm TSMC process. The chipset comes coupled with an Adreno GPU and an Hexagon NPU for AI tasks. The Nothing Phone 3a delivers 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. There is no expandable storage.

Camera specs

The Edge 60 Fusion gets a 50-megapixel primary camera powered by the Sony LYT700C sensor and optical image stabilisation and gets a f/1.8 aperture. It also gets a 13-megapixel ultrawide camera and gets extra photography modes. On the front, the Edge 60 Fusion gets a 32-megapixel camera which is capable of 4K videos. The 60 Fusion also features AI-powered features like photo enhancement tools and adaptive stabilisation.

The Nothing Phone 3a features a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS and electronic image stabilisation (EIS) and gets a secondary 50-megapixel telephoto lens which features 2x optical zoom and 30x ultra digital zoom and also features an 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor with 120-degree fov. On the front the 3a gets a 32-megapixel sensor and features 4K video shooting 30fps and 1080p at 60fps.

Battery and charging

The Motorola Edge 60 Fusion has a 5,500mAh battery that can be charged at 68W using USB Type-C.  The Nothing Phone 3a, in contrast, has a 5,000mAh battery that can be charged with 50W wired power and 7.5W reverse wired power.  According to the business, a full charge takes less than an hour, and a 50% charge may be obtained in 19 minutes.
