The Realme P3 series has been launched in India after months of hype and straightaway, this is what we have deduced – an affordable gaming-centric smartphone. Consisting of two handsets for now – the Realme P3 Pro and Realme P3x, they cater to completely different segments. The design and specifications vary, thus offering two interesting propositions.

But price is what matters with Realme phones and these two have very compelling ones right from the launch.

Realme P3 Pro prices:

8 GB RAM / 128 GB storage INR 23,999
12 GB RAM / 256 GB storage INR 26,999

Realme P3x prices

6 GB RAM / 128 GB storage INR 13,999
8 GB RAM / 128 GB storage INR 14,999

So what is the Realme P3 Pro about?

The Realme P3 Pro is kind of a gaming performance alternative to the Realme 14 Pro series. Featuring a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, this phone will be strictly limited to the midrange Android performance segment. The 6050mm² vapour cooling chamber is expected to keep the thermals in check. You get a 6.8-inch quad-curved OLED display with Full HD+ resolution, 1,500 nits of peak brightness and 120 Hz of refresh rate. A 6,000 mAh capacity battery with 80W fast wired charging is present to keep the handset powered up.

Despite being a gaming-centric phone, the Realme P3 Pro features a decently capable 50-megapixel IMX896 sensor for the main camera and a 2-megapixel secondary depth shooter.

And the Realme P3x?

This is a more affordable alternative to the Realme P3 Pro. The P3x is based on the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset – a new entry-level chipset for affordable Android phones. Paired with the same 6,000 mAh battery and a slightly slower 45W wired charging solution, this should theoretically offer better battery life at the expense of lower performance figures. The 6.7-inch display here relies on an IPS LCD panel that has a maximum refresh rate of 120 Hz. A 50-megapixel main sensor along with a 2-megapixel depth sensor complete the rear camera setup.

Regardless of the models you choose, Realme will start selling the P3x from February 28.
