Apple is marketing its latest launched iPhone 16 Series with Apple Intelligence (AI) features that are yet to roll out. This update will also roll out to iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, however, all the models before these devices will not recieve any Apple Intelligence features. While iPhone 15, 14, 13, 12, and other users won't receive Apple Intelligence update but you can still use these AI features using an alternative.

There are alternative ways to convert your current iPhone into an AI-enabled device. There are websites and third-party apps that offer similar functionalities, albeit with different layouts. By installing these shortcuts or applications, you can enhance your smartphone experience without any specific device requirements.

Let's take a look at how you can use AI features on your old iPhones.

Text Summaries

The Text Summary feature from Apple Intelligence allows you to skip reading entire documents and gives you a short summary about the same. If your iPhone doesn't have this feature, you can achieve similar results using alternative AI tools like Scribbr.com. We recommend installing Arc Browser on your iPad or iPhone for a seamless experience, as it provides one-line summaries or bullet points when you pinch the screen.

If you prefer not to install third-party applications, you can visit various AI websites to summarise your articles or notes by copying, pasting, or uploading PDFs. Summarizer.org and Humata.ai are two excellent options for this purpose.

Image Generator

'Image Playground' is one of the most highlighted features at Apple events, similar to other image generation AI tools. Many third-party AI-enabled applications can perform similar tasks. The easiest way to convert your imagination into an image is by using the Meta AI chat feature in WhatsApp, Instagram, or Facebook. You can also use DeepAI to generate images from text.

Magic Eraser

The Magic Eraser tool is useful for removing unwanted objects and humans from a photo. While Apple has only showcased this feature at WWDC 2024, AI tools like Google Photos have already implemented it. You can eliminate photobombers by marking the unnecessary objects. So, instead of waiting for Apple Intelligence, you can use Google Photos right away. You can click here to know how to do it.

Smart Writing

If you’re missing the ‘Smart Writing’ feature while composing emails or formal messages, you can install ChatGPT or Google Gemini. These are among the easiest alternatives to Apple Intelligence's Smart Writing feature. You can simply give commands to these apps, such as “Change the text to formal format.”

There are two ways to use these tools on your smartphone: you can either use the app versions if you have enough storage space, or you can access the web versions of these tools.
