Tata Motors has formally launched the 2025 Altroz facelift before its May 22, 2025, launch. The top-end hatchback gets a full-fledged design update, feature enhancement, and tech upgrade, making it an even more formidable rival to competition such as the Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Hyundai i20.

What's New In The Tata Altroz 2025?

The new Altroz has a bold and contemporary look, with new Luminate LED headlamps, Infinity-connected LED tail lamps, a redesigned 3D front grille, and flush door handles. These changes bring the car into sync with Tata's new design philosophy and enhance its premium feel.

The cabin is also heavily upgraded with the new Grand Prestigia dashboard sporting premium textures and materials. It also comes with dual 10.25-inch HD screens for infotainment and instrumentation. Tata retails the Altroz in five different variants or "personas" — Smart, Pure, Creative, Accomplished S, and Accomplished+ S — with stunning colour choices such as Dune Glow, Ember Glow, Pure Grey, Royal Blue, and Pristine White.

Safety Still A Plus On The Altroz

Safety remains one of the big strengths of the Altroz, which still maintains its 5-star Global NCAP safety rating. Six airbags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), and ISOFIX child seat mounts are standard on all trims. Advanced features such as a 360-degree surround view camera, blind spot monitoring, and SOS calling come on higher trims. iRA connected car technology, a wireless charger, and AudioWorX customizable modes are some of the additions on the top-end Accomplished+ S trim.

Though official information regarding powertrains is still to be announced, the 2025 Altroz is likely to carry forward its use-case friendly engine variants — such as a 1.2L NA petrol, 1.2L turbo-petrol (for the Racer variant), 1.5L diesel, and a twin-cylinder-powered 1.2L CNG variant. Transmission options are likely to be a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed DCA. Fuel efficiency is likely to vary between 18.2 km/l and 23.5 km/l, based on the engine.

The price of the new Altroz is likely to be marginally higher than the existing model, which starts from Rs 6.65 lakh to Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom). With its combination of premium design, advanced safety, and refreshed tech, the 2025 Altroz will further enhance its position in the premium hatchback space.
