Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition: Now With Extra Offerings

Toyota has introduced a new edition of the Fortuner for the Indian market, the Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition. This iteration has a few extra visual elements to give it a distinct look. At the same time, this SUV also gets added features over the regular Fortuner. 

Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition: Exterior Changes

The Leader Edition is technically the same as the regular Fortuner, but cosmetically different. It gets front and rear bumper spoilers which adds visual bulk to the car. These spoilers are added as accessories by the dealer, as they are not factory-fitted. The alloy wheels of the SUV are blacked out but the design remains unchanged. Another exterior difference from the regular Fortuner is the dual-tone colour options on the Leader Edition. The SUV has three dual-tone colour options, having Black as the secondary colour tone, as standard. The three colour options are Super White, Platinum Pearl White, and Silver Metallic. 

Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition: Interior Changes

The interior of the Leader Edition boasts dual-tone leather upholstery that makes the cabin feel upmarket. The SUV also gets features like TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System), auto-fold ORVM (Outside Rear View Mirrors), wireless charger, etc., for improved comfort and convenience. 

Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition: Performance

The Leader Edition will be limited to the 4X2 configuration with diesel engine. Yes, the 4x4 setup and petrol are a big miss. However, it has a 2.8-litre four-cylinder unit producing 202bhp and 500Nm with a 6-speed automatic transmission, while the 5-speed manual transmission version produces 420Nm of torque. This variant will sit above the regular Fortuner and below the Legender. 

Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition: Pricing 

The vehicle can be booked with a token amount of Rs 50,000 from a nearby Toyota dealership or Toyota’s official website. Toyota has not announced the pricing of this SUV, stating, that many accessories are added at the dealership and that’s where the exact pricing of the car will be known.
