Ather has launched Ather Halo helmets, alongside their family scooter, the Ather Rizta. There are two products, one a full-face and the other, a half-face helmet, named the Halo and the Halo Bit, respectively. These helmets have a built-in mic, speakers and connectivity features, and support wireless charging.
Ather Halo: Pricing and Specifications
These are the brand’s first-ever helmets, launched at the Ather community day event this year. These helmets have Harman Kardon speakers and a built-in mic for connectivity with your phone and your Ather scooter. Many bikers use external communication setups in helmets to communicate with pillion and other riders on road trips, but that won't be the case with Ather Halo helmet owners.
Ather claims a battery life of 10 days on a single charge and the Halo can be charged wirelessly inside Ather Rizta’s under-seat storage. Ather scooter owners (other than Rizta) can also charge these new helmets. Plus, it can be charged at home, whereas the Halo Bit can be charged only at home because it does not support wireless charging.
If the rider and pillion are wearing Ather Halo helmets, they can have an end-to-end conversation and accessibility to sync their helmets to hear the same track. There is also a wear-detection feature which automatically turns on and off all the connectivity features in the Halo for seamless and hassle-free usage.
The Halo is priced at Rs 14,999, however, the first thousand customers can get it for Rs 12,999, as an introductory offer. The half-face helmet, the Halo Bit, is priced at Rs 4,999. Both helmets are ISI and DOT-certified, making them extremely safe to use.
