In accordance to the 2024 updates, the facelifted Tata Nexon, one of the bestselling Tata cars, has received three more variants based on the entry-level Smart version- Smart (O), Smart+ and Smart+ S. The new Smart variants are not only limited to petrol but are also available in diesel.

After these, the new starting price of the 2024 Tata Nexon for the Smart (O) MT Petrol variant is Rs 7.99 lakh, ex-showroom. It is deemed that TataMotors added these variants shortly after the launch of the Mahindra XUV 3XO, which has a starting price of Rs 7.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Comparatively, the Tata Nexon facelift is Rs 50,000 pricer than the base variant of the Mahindra XUV 3XO.

Tata Nexon: Engine and Transmission

The new variants of the 2024 Tata Nexon have the same engine options: a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol and a 1.5-litre turbo-diesel unit.

The three-cylinder, turbo-petrol Revotron engine produces 118bhp at 5500rpm and 170Nm of torque between 1750-4000rpm.

In parallel, the four-cylinder, turbo-diesel Revotorq unit generates 113bhp at 3750rpm and 260Nm of peak torque between 1500-2750rpm.

The transmission options include five- and six-speed manual transmissions, a six-speed AMT, and a seven-speed DCT unit.
