The Czech automaker Skoda has extended the list of the variants, as they have introduced the Slavia Monte Carlo, alongside the Sportline edition of both the Slavia sedan and Kushaq SUV. These iterations are mechanically unchanged, but are now cosmetically different, and that too on the sportier side. The new Sportline edition was launched alongside the Skoda Slavia Monte Carlo edition.

For reference, the Sportline variants are based on Kushaq’s and Slavia’s mid-spec Signature variant.

A Glimpse

The new Sportline edition of the Skoda Kushaq and Slavia boasts sporty-looking design elements. The given design updates are similar to that of the Monte Carlo edition, meaning that the Sportline edition will offer you blacked-out inserts that can be seen on Skoda’s signature butterfly grille, bumpers, ORVMs, and the roof.

Even the badges on these two cars are finished in high gloss black. Adding more to the sporty appeal, these two vehicles have blacked-out alloy wheels, a black lip spoiler (rear), black ORVMs, and smoked LED tail lamps.

From the inside, the Sportline variants of the Slavia and Kushaq both get a fabric upholstery and the vehicles’ respective cabin themes from the Signature variants. That said, the Slavia Sportline has a black and beige colour scheme, whereas the Skoda Kushaq has a black and grey colour theme.

Both vehicles also get scuff plates with embossed model names and aluminium-finished pedals.

As far as the features are concerned, the Skoda Kushaq and Slavia Sportline-based versions have LED lights at the front and rear, a single-pane sunroof, a tyre pressure monitor, electrically adjustable ORVMs, a cooled glove box, cruise control rain-sensing wipers, etc.

Further, they both have six airbags (as standard), a rearview camera with sensors, ISOFIX child-seat anchorages, auto HVAC, and a 10-inch touchscreen with wireless- Android Auto and -Apple CarPlay, among others.

In the specifications department, the 2024 Sportline edition of the Kushaq and Slavia is available in both 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre TSI engines. The former engine produces 115 PS and 178Nm of torque, while the latter produces 150 PS and 250Nm of torque.

The smaller engine is available with a 6-speed manual and an optional 6-speed automatic unit, while the bigger engine is exclusive to the 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox.
