2024 Skoda Slavia Monte Carlo Edition: Everything You Need to Know

The Czech carmaker Skoda has launched the Monte Carlo edition of the Slavia sedan in India. This is the second model after the Kushaq SUV to have this edition.

Like the Skoda Kushaq SUV, the company has also launched the Monte Carlo edition of the Skoda Slavia sedan. The new iteration’s bookings have commenced today September 2, 2024, plus this product has entered the Skoda dealerships. The price of the Slavia Monte Carlo ranges between 15.79 lakh and Rs 18.49 lakh.

All are introductory ex-showroom prices. 

The Monte Carlo edition has a combination of red and black colour schemes. That said, the same can be seen in the sporty version of the Skoda Slavia Monte Carlo. 

Overview

As far as the exterior is concerned, the Monte Carlo version of the Skoda Slavia has the signature red colour as its primary paint. To give a contrasting look, this vehicle has black-out inserts that can be seen on Skoda’s signature butterfly grille, alloy wheels, ORVMs, rear lip spoiler, and badges. The taillamps are also smoked, and the Monte Carlo badge is embossed on the front fenders.

The interior of this vehicle, on the other hand, has a dual-tone colour scheme of red and black. There are red inserts on the dashboard and seats. And, there are ‘Monte Carlo’ badges embossed on the front headrests and scuff plates. 

In terms of features, the Slavia Monte Carlo Edition is equipped with a single-pane sunroof, an 8-inch fully digital instrument cluster, a 10-inch floating touchscreen infotainment unit, ventilated front seats, electrically adjustable front seats (driver and co-driver), ambient lighting, etc.

Coming to the powertrain of this vehicle, the Slavia is otherwise offered in petrol with a 1.0-litre TSI and a 1.5-litre TSI engine. Both are turbocharged units. And, the Slavia Monte Carlo edition is available in both engines. The 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine belts out 148bhp and 250Nm of peak torque. The smaller engine produces 115bhp. 

Additionally, the 1.0-litre version powers the front wheels via a standard 6-speed manual and optional torque convertor automatic unit, while the 1.5-litre is exclusive to the 7-speed DCT. 

Alongside the Slavia Monte Carlo edition, the Czech automaker will also launch the Sportline iterations of the Kushaq SUV and Slavia sedan. 

The Skoda Slavia rivals the Volkswagen Virtus, Hyundai Verna, Honda City, and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, among others.
