The Royal Enfield Interceptor Bear 650 has been under development for quite some time now. The partially undisguised images of a test mule have been captured for the first time on Indian soil, revealing significant design details. The motorcycle is expected to debut in Motoverse 2024.

Build and Design of Royal Enfield Interceptor Bear 650

The leaked images reveal, that the Royal Enfield Interceptor Bear 650 will be a scrambler. This, however, would be the flagship among the Royal Enfield scramblers, thanks to its 650cc engine. The design of this motorcycle looks beautiful with a beefy two-in-one exhaust setup, spoke wheels and chunky dual-purpose block pattern tyres.

This tyre pattern suggests that the bike can tackle the on-road and off-road effortlessly. The exhaust pipe, engine cover and frame of the motorcycle are finished in matte black, which may vary variant-wise at launch.

A closer look at the leaked image reveals circular rear-view mirrors, USD forks at the front, twin shock absorbers at the rear, a single-piece seat, and a tubular grab handle for the pillion. Reports confirm that the motorcycle will perform on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels.

Features and Performance of Royal Enfield Interceptor Bear 650

Industry reports also speculate that it will have a circular instrument console, but now it remains to be seen if it will be the same TFT unit as the New Himalayan or the Guerrilla 450. Other expected features include LED lighting, smartphone connectivity and more.

The main highlight will be the 648cc parallel twin motor. This engine churns out 47hp and 52.3Nm on Interceptor, Supermeteor 650, and other Royal Enfield 650s. However, considering the distinct nature of this machine, we expect the state of tune to be significantly different from its older siblings.
