Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG: Now With Added Active Safety Features

The CNG version of the Maruti Suzuki Brezza is now safer after receiving a hill-hold assist and an electronic stability programme (ESP), which are kept standard.

This sub-four-metre SUV is one of the bestselling Maruti Suzuki cars in the country. The CNG version of the Maruti Suzuki Brezza is now safer after receiving a hill-hold assist and an electronic stability programme (ESP). The petrol version, however, has more safety features but now, the CNG version is even safer with these additions, which are kept standard. 

So, let’s quickly go through the rest of the offerings that are already available. Let’s read on. 

Maruti Suzuki Brezza: Engine and Mileage

As for the Maruti Suzuki Brezza specifications, this homegrown SUV can be had in petrol and CNG. Both variants are powered by the same 1.5-litre, naturally-aspirated (NA) engine, but deliver different outputs. 

The petrol unit is tuned to churn out 102bhp at 6000rpm and 136.8Nm of peak torque at 4400rpm. It is available with a five-speed manual and an automatic torque converter transmission. The Brezza’s mileage (ARAI-certified) ranges between 17.38km/l and 19.80km/l. 

In parallel, the CNG version of the Maruti Suzuki Brezza has reduced output to 87bhp at 5500rpm and 121.5Nm of peak torque at 4200rpm. This iteration is limited to a five-speed manual transmission. The ARAI-claimed mileage of the Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG is 25.51km/kg.  

Maruti Suzuki Brezza: Features 

In terms of features, the top model of the Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG has an electric single-pane sunroof, a 7.0-inch Smartplay Pro touchscreen infotainment unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and connected car technology, to name a few. 

On the safety front, the Brezza CNG now has ESP and hill hold assist and continues to offer dual airbags, a reverse parking camera with rear parking sensors, ABS and EBD.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza: Price  

It is worth mentioning that despite the revised price list of the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, its CNG version’s price remains unchanged. 

The starting price of the Brezza is Rs 8.34 lakh for the base variant, the LXi Petrol MT, and goes up to Rs 14.14 lakh for the top variant, the ZXi+ AT DT. 

Parallelly, the starting price of the Brezza CNG is Rs 9.29 lakh for the base variant, the LXi CNG MT, and goes up to Rs 12.10 lakh for the top variant, the ZXi CNG MT.
