The Jeep Meridian facelift is confirmed to launch in India in 2024. Jeep first launched the Meridian in 2022 and it is an extended 7-seater version of the brand’s popular 5-seater SUV, the Jeep Compass. This three-row SUV is also sold as the Commander in the international markets.

2024 Jeep Meridian Facelift: Things To Expect

Since this is going to be a facelift, we do not expect it to receive any major build, design or layout changes. But it is expected to get redesigned front and rear bumpers, revamped headlamps, and newly designed upholstery to make it more appealing.

In terms of features, we might see the addition of front and rear dashcams and an air purifier. These features debuted on the recently launched Jeep Compass Night Eagle Edition, so those features are expected to be present in the facelifted Meridian. Along with these new additions, the vehicle will carry forward features such as a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control AC, a wireless charger, a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with an Alpine 9-speaker surround sound system, etc.

The Jeep Meridian currently has only one engine on offer, the 2.0-litre diesel which produces 170hp and 350Nm of torque. This engine is either mated to a 6-speed manual or a 9-speed torque converter, depending on the variant chosen. The Meridian may finally get a petrol variant as well. However, the details remain unknown. Jeep offers a petrol engine with Commander in Brazil; it is a 1.3-litre turbo unit producing 185hp, so, Jeep may offer that engine in India.

2024 Jeep Meridian Facelift: Positioning and Availability

Jeep sells the Meridian in India between Rs 33.6 and Rs 39.6 lakh (ex-showroom). Currently, the Meridian competes against the Toyota Fortuner, Skoda Kodiaq, and MG Gloster. But Jeep India can do better if they take out a widely-preferred fuel-type-powered vehicle.

As for the availability, there is no official confirmation yet, but we can expect it to arrive soon after the Jeep Wrangler facelift's launch event on April 22, 2024.
