BMW has added another variant of the 2 Series to their lineup, the BMW 2 Series Shadow Edition. The vehicle has joined the recently launched BMW X3 Shadow Edition at a starting price of Rs 46.90 lakh ex-showroom. The brand has built the shadow edition on the existing 220i M Sport by making exterior and interior alterations.
To differentiate itself from the standard 220i M Sport, the Shadow edition gets an all-black kidney grille, dark elements inside the adaptive LED headlamps, a black rear spoiler and floating BMW hub caps on all alloy wheels.
BMW is offering the 2 Series Shadow edition in two colour options, Alpine White and Skyscraper Grey. Since the car is based on the M Sport variant of the 2 Series, it gets all the M Sport elements such as side gills, M Aerodynamics package and M badging on the keys with black inserts.
The interior of the car has also been upgraded to make the car feel much more premium than the standard car. It has an ‘Illuminated Berlin’ interior, carbon fibre finishing on the gear selector, six-colour ambient lighting, black and oyster upholstery, a wireless charger, gesture controls, and more. There is a 12.3-inch display for instrumentation and a 10.25-inch touchscreen for infotainment.
A 2.0-litre petrol burner powers the BMW 2 Series M Sport Shadow Edition and churns out 179hp and 280Nm. All the power is distributed on the front wheels via a seven-speed DCT and the brand claims a 0 to 100kph timing of 7.1 seconds.
