Bajaj Maxima XL Cargo ETEC 9.0: Offerings
This electric three-wheeler’s design looks very similar to conventional ICE counterparts. It has a big wide windshield so the driver can easily look at what’s around with the single wiper mounted in the centre. The ORVMs are mounted on the A-Pillars, below that, the front fascial has a huge black plastic panel which houses circular headlamps and Bajaj Maxima branding in the centre. The driver’s cabin is completely sealed with full-size doors, consisting of split windows on both sides.
Handling the suspension duties are twin shock absorbers on the front and an independent trailing arm with a Helical spring on the rear. For enhanced durability, the vehicle rolls on 130/80 R12 section tubeless tyres and steel rims. The three-wheeler has a ground clearance of 180mm and a wheelbase of 2274mm.
Powering this compact luggage carrier is a PMS motor, which churns out 4.5kW (6hp) and 36Nm. This motor is coupled with a two-speed automatic transmission which propels the rear wheels via a drive shaft. The Maxima gets an 8.9kWh battery pack with an IP 67 rating for dust and water resistance and it also gets a hill hold assist feature to prevent back roll on slopes.
Along with this, the three-wheeler also offers a regenerative braking system with a sensing mechanism. The vehicle has an onboard charger built into the vehicle and uses a three-pin 16 Amp socket and RCD cable for charging.
