The British luxury performance carmaker Aston Martin recently introduced a new twin-turbo V12 petrol engine. This mighty engine will make its debut under the hood of the Aston Martin Vanquish. The Vanquish, a flagship coupe will replace the DBS Superleggera.
Aston Martin has been making their flagships powered by a V12 engine for the past twenty-five years. The new in-house re-engineered masterpiece is now tuned to churn out 824bhp (835PS) of peak power and 1000Nm of peak torque.

How did they manage to produce more power?
The engineers at Aston Martin have re-engineered this hardware unit. Thanks to the re-design from the ground up, while keeping optimisation and enhancement in mind, the new V12 engine now has an unmatched performance.
Things that have been implied during the engineering of this V12 engine include a strengthened cylinder block and conrods, and revamped cylinder heads with re-positioned camshafts, complemented by new intakes and exhaust ports.

In parallel, the turbochargers with reduced inertia are now able to deliver increased performance and throttle response.

According to the brand, the new V12 engine will only be offered in selected and exclusive Aston Martin cars. Since this engine will be handcrafted year by year- the company will produce the V12-powered Aston Martin cars in limited numbers.
