BMW has finally pulled the curtains from the BMW X3’s fourth generation avatar. The SUV now has a revamped exterior and interior design and many crucial components updates. The SUV is expected to arrive in India by early next year.

2025 BMW X3 Exterior Design and Build

The BMW X3’s front fascia has been completely revamped with a new kidney grille with different positioning of the slats inside, depending on the variant. The flagship M50 variant gets blacked-out horizontally positioned slats with the M-badge. The headlamps have become much more sleek and have the new L-shaped DRLs, making the car look sharp and have a distinct identity.

The vehicle has grown in all dimensions. It now measures 4755 mm long, 1920 mm wide, and 25 mm lower in height, enhancing the sporty appearance. The side profile of the SUV is relatively simple and looks elegant.

It also gets flap-type flush door handles and newly designed dual-tone chunky alloy wheels which will vary in size, design and colour, depending on the variant chosen.

The highlight on the rear are the 3D taillights which extend and wrap around the D-pillar of the car and have a very subtle sporty design inside.

2025 BMW X3 Interior

The interior of the BMW X3 is very sporty with dual curved displays (as seen on modern BMW cars), and redesigned ambient lighting.

The SUV boasts a 14.9-inch infotainment screen and a 12.3-inch screen for instrumentation. The unveiled X3 also gets a new BMW interaction bar, which we have seen on the new BMW 5- and 7-series.

2025 BMW X3 Powertrain

The SUV has multiple engine options, including a 2.0-litre petrol engine, which churns out 208hp and 330Nm of torque. There is also a 2.0-litre diesel engine coupled with a mild hybrid system, which produces 197hp and 400Nm of peak torque. A 2.0-litre plug-in hybrid diesel is also expected to make its way this time with a massive 300hp and 450Nm of torque.

The flagship variant will have a 3.0-litre turbocharged six-cylinder petrol burner with a whopping 398hp and 580Nm, which gives it a 0 to 100kph timing of just 4.6 seconds. All the engine options mentioned above will be mated to a ZF-sourced 8-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system.

2025 BMW X3 Expected Launch and Rivals in India

Once launched in India, the fourth-generation BMW X3 will lock horns with the likes of Mercedes Benz GLC, Audi Q5, and Volvo XC60, to name a few.
