Following the launch of the updated Avenis 125, Suzuki has also given a fresh look to their 125cc scooters, including the Access 125 and Burgman Street. These two scooters have received fresh colour schemes, while the rest of the offerings are retained.
Commenting on these launches, Kenichi Umeda, Managing Director of Suzuki Motorcycles India, stated, “The festive season is a special time for our customers, and we wanted to make it even more memorable by introducing special festive colours in our scooters. The Access 125 and Burgman Street have been appreciated by our customers for their performance, comfort, and style. We believe that our customers will find these new colours attractive and will add joy to their riding experience.”
New Colour Options
The Suzuki Burgman Street 125 can be had in Metallic Matte Black No. 2 paint. The majority of the body panels are finished in matte black, while the side panels and the middle of the front apron are painted in maroon, giving it a contrasting look.
The Suzuki Access 125, on the other hand, is finished in Metallic Sonoma Red with Pearl Mirage White. The combination of these two contrasting hues can be seen on different panels and the apron; further contrasted by the tan seat coverings.
Specifications
As mentioned earlier, these two offerings have everything retained except for the colour options.
The 2024 Burgman Street 125 continues to be powered by the same 124cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, which is tuned to churn out 8.5bhp at 6750rpm and 10Nm of peak torque at 5500rpm. The power is sent to the front wheel via a CVT automatic gearbox.
The Burgman scooter has a 5.5-litre fuel tank and has an ARAI-claimed mileage of 58.5kmpl.
In parallel, the Suzuki Access also has a nearly identical engine to the Burgman Street. That said, this offering also continues to be powered by a 124cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, which produces 8.58bhp at 6750rpm and 10Nm of peak torque at 5500rpm. This vehicle also houses a CVT automatic transmission.
Unlike the Burgman Street, the Suzuki Access 125 has a slightly smaller fuel tank, rated at 5 litres. Additionally, it returns a mileage of 45kmpl. This is an ARAI-claimed figure.
Please note that these mileage figures can vary, depending on the driving style and local traffic conditions.
Pricing
As of July 2024, the Suzuki Burgman Street 125 carries a starting price tag of Rs 98,299. This scooter directly rivals the TVS Jupiter 125.
However, the Suzuki Access has a starting price of Rs 90,500. This is a flat price across the new colour options. These are ex-showroom figures.
The Access 125 takes the likes of the Honda Activa 125, TVS Jupiter 125, and the Yamaha Fascino 125.
