To mark Kawasaki’s 40 years of racing history, the Japanese automobile manufacturer has unveiled a limited-run Ninja ZX-25RR Special Edition in Indonesia. This iteration draws inspiration from the classic ZXR750 racing machine from the 80s. Like all other Kawasaki bikes, the ZX-25RR retains the Lime Green livery, complemented by Pearl Crystal White and Blue, dedicated to the Kawasaki Racing Team.

To make it distinctive, this exclusive iteration has a Kawasaki logo on the side fairing alongside the engine guards that stick out from an indent. More so, the limited edition of the 2024 ZX-25RR also houses the smoked wiser, green-coloured alloy wheels, and a ‘40th Ninja Anniversary’ emblem on its fuel tank.

Overview

The Kawasaki ZX-25RR 40th anniversary edition continues to be powered by a 249.8-cc, four-cylinder engine, which is tuned to churn out 50bhp at 15,500rpm and 22.9Nm of peak torque at 14,500rpm.

Further, this bike stands on an inverted fork with an adjustable pre-load suspension at the front and a horizontal backlink with rebound suspension at the rear. For better braking and traction, this 250cc Japanese bike has disc brakes on either side, supported by a dual-channel ABS.

Other offerings of this bike include power modes, traction control, a quick shifter, and a TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, LED lighting, and power modes. The presence of Bluetooth connectivity allows the owner to access the connected bike, and for this feature, the owner is supposed to install the Kawasaki Rideology app on the smartphone. The app will show all the relevant information, such as riding data, live with last parked location, vehicle status, and upcoming service(s), to name a few.

The rest of the features are carried over from the standard ZX-25RR bike.

Pricing

In terms of figures, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25RR Special Edition is priced above its standard version. The former is priced at Rp 138,000,000 (roughly Rs 7.45 lakh), while the latter is priced at Rp 133,500,000 (roughly Rs 7.21 lakh).

These prices are in Indonesian currency, as of August 2024.

Other News

As we reported earlier, Kawasaki India is now preparing to launch the Versys X-300 ADV bike, which will launch during the Indian festive season between October and November. The Japanese automaker wants to give competitive pricing to that bike, which is why it’s sourcing localised parts as many as possible. The Versys X-300 will rival the Royal Enfield Himalayan and KTM 390 ADV.
